The Reading Fangirls discussion

Hey everyone, this is a very random discussion. I want to change up my bookshelf but I don't know how I should arrange the books. Any ideas? Also how do you guys organize your books? By color, genre? I need ideas and I'm just curious how you organize your books. Maybe you can give me some ideas :)

I use to have mine organized by author but now it's by genre.

I used to organize mine by author, but the heights are different and it bothered me, I really want to arrange my books by genre but I don't have many different genres. I actually just finished organizing my books by color. I tried to make a rainbow :) Thank you for commenting, I'm curious to see how other book lovers organize their books.

My bookshelf is somewhat complicated :') I have one childrens shelf, one middle grade shelf, one classics shelf and a Cassandra Clare shelf. The rest of my books are in shelves according to whether the series is completed and then how many books in the series I own, and then stand alones. And within those shelves they are organised by genre and within that, they are organised by author...so yeah...mine is sort of confusing :')
