Royal Guest Quarters
Kayne thought it best to approach the prince in a none threatening manner, to approach in a way that meant he immediately felt safe, at ease. An animal was normally something you didn't want to antagonise nor did you want to hurt, or so he had heard from others who had been turned by Markus who had previously lived in Vada. From what he had learnt Vada kept pets of sorts or hunting animals, most had a use, similar to Xuin. So after learning where the prince was he padded his way to his room, scratching at the door so he guard would let him in. They knew who he was. Upon entering he smelt human, along with something else, something that he had smelt before. Magic. Pretending to be a simple pet he attempted to be pretending to hide his bone which he had gotten from his previous meal. He came across the prince and paused, tilting his head to the side in curiosity.
Gabriel was in the sitting room when he stopped pacing back and forth trying to work a plan of escape. He only stopped at the sound of his room being unlocked and the blur of a large canine entering. Gabriel was in practical shock that such a wild beast was allowed to roam the fortress freely without being hunted. Gabriel was an excellent hunter, but never had he seen such a muscular wolf before. He also felt a bit intimidated by the fact he was on no horse and held no weapon. "Nice....wolf..." He said backing up to the door leading to one of the beds. He was not about to get maimed by a wolf. He found himself missing the door as he kept his eyes locked on the creature and was pinning himself to the wall. "I don't have any food for you." He says with fear in hsi eyes at what this creature might do to him.
Kayne realised as he watched the prince that he was afraid of him. He was trying his best to come across pet like, though he wasn't sure what that entailed. He entered the room further and sat down, dropping his bone, wagging his tail in the hopes to come across friendly, though he suspected that was more frightening to a human who had never come across a lycan. He picked up his bone and made his way over to the prince, dropping his bone in the hopes he might take the hint. He bowed, tail happily wagging in the air. He was offering to play, make him feel at ease. He yipped to encourage him to throw the bone. One Vada servant had once told him that she told her cat everything because they were easy to confide in and offered no judgement, so hopefully the same applied to the prince.
Gabriel looked almost in greater shock at the sight fo the wolf acting domesticated. "You wanna play, boy?" He asked the wolf as if it could reply back. He picked up the bone and wagged it in his face only to give it a gentle toss midway to the center piece of furniture in the room. Gabriel was in disbelief that Vampires were able to domesticate such rabid creatures. Such a beast would be a prized possession in Vada locked in a cage or skinned for the fur as a trophy. He was hopeful that amybe hsis tay here as he came upw ith plans for escape would nto be half as abd as he thought.
Kayne stared at the bone intensely, watching it like he was hypnotised by the princes very movements. He watched the prince throw the bone and growled a little as he went running after it, skidding along the floor before coming ambling back. He dropped the bone at the princes feet this time, panting softly as his tail thudded back and forth. If the prince wasn't afraid of him it might get him to talk, or maybe even just voice his thoughts to others without thinking of him as a possible messenger or threat. When the prince didn't throw it he picked the bone up again and jumped up, resting his paws on Gabriel's chest, eager to 'play'. He sniffed the prince up close and confirmed his suspicions that the prince was mixed with magic. Dropping the bone he began licking the princes face out of obvious affection.
Gabriel laughed lightly as he at last managed to get the wolf off of him. "What makes something so dangerous become so friendly in a place covered in shadow?" He asked looking at the wolf. He moved to sit on the sofa next to him and atted for the wolf to join him. "things are getting so hard. I have a girl...I like a lot, but I am afraid of hurting her. I mean...I can't hurt you. You have all this fur." He said patting the wolf's back. "I am afraid that we will get to leave here free only for me to lose control and turn her into a frostbitten statue of herself. I don't know what is going to ahppen at this point." He spoke looking striahgt ahead before looking down at the wolf. "Lucky you...all you have ot care about is when your enxt emal is and who is going to lvoe on you." He says scratching behind hsi ears.
Kayne enjoyed the sound of a laugh, it only confirmed that the prince was relaxed around him and was possibly willing to open up to a 'pet'. He got down and picked up his bone once again before hopping onto the sofa, taking up more space than he realised, even being heavier than he realised when the prince started sliding down the cushion towards him. He rested his head in his lap, gnawing on the bone, pretending to keep himself occupied. He stopped eating as he listened to the prince wondering where he was going with this and then wagged his tail when he confessed his power. Frostebite huh? So he had the power to freeze things. Interesting. It was certainly obvious considering how cold he felt, glad to be coated in thick fur just then. He huffed in appreciation at the scratch behind the ears, rolling over to show his belly, eager to be scratched some more. Whatever the prince was doing felt good. He gave a happy yip, spotting the sadness in his eyes. He whined and leaned up to lick his face again. Hopefully he'd get more information out of the prince but for now, learning of his power was enough.
Gabriel smiles still feeling a bit sad. Night fall was here and that meant he had to get some sleep. He was exhausted not to mention his mind was racing all over the place. Gabriel stands at last and moves to his room door. "You can come in if you want...I'm going to need some rest. I don't mind having some company...Maybe tomorrow I'll let you meet Annabelle." He offers to the wolf with a smile. Something was odd about this wolf...apart from the fact it was a wolf acting like a pup. He felt almsot human for some reason. His eyes and actions jsut seemed human like he knew everything that gabrielw as tlakign about and could relate in some way. He left hsi door open for a moment beofre moving intot he room. The room was cozy with it's white blankets and black metal frame. He moved to the dresser on the other side discovering a numebr of clothes. He jerked off his Vada clothes fully only in his undergarments for hsi legs. He then walks back to the door. "Here boy..." He calls for the wolf. He was wearing jsut a pair of white undergarments that cut off at hsi waist line revealing hsi well figured stomach and cutting jsut past his knees tight to hsi skin making his calves look a bit more muscular than what they were.
Kayne whined when the prince got up thinking that that was the end of the conversation, hoping to have gotten more out of him in some way. Damn he may have to take a different approach. But when the offer of company was given he took the offer eagerly. Hell he didn't really mind sleeping in hay and blankets but the sound of an actual bed was very appealing. He'd never really slept in one before and he'd always wondered what it was like compared to his bedding. His ears twitched at the mention of another name. The girl he was talking about? Interesting. If he could get both to trust in him blindly enough then it might not be so difficult to get hordes of information out of them. He got off the couch, giving a sorrowful yip at the princes retreat. Upon being called he barked and ran after him, barrelling into the room, skidding a little on the stone. He had to admire the princes beauty, it seemed warmer and more approachable compared to his master cold flawlessness. He hoped up again and began giving him more sloppy licks, giving playful growls.
Gabriel laughs, "Alright...settle down." He says closing the door behind them and setting the wolf off of him. "I wonder what your name is...Surely they gave you name...Sebastian? Wulfric?" Gabriel starts calling out random names jsut out of curiosity. He sets on the sid eof the bed looking the wolf over, "Fluffy?"
Kayne jumped down from the prince, sitting by his feet, waiting to be allowed on the bed. He was very curious. He tilted his head to the side when the prince started conjuring up names that sounded all too out of place to his ears. At the mention of fluffy he growled, sniffing as if sneezing on the name. Though he wasn't about to be stupid and try and give the prince his name by spelling it out for him. Hell if he found a pet name he liked he'd just go with it. It's not like he'd find out what he was any time soon. He sniffed the bottom of the bed sheets, finding them fresh of scent. Nothing was out of place in the room except for the princes magic. So they were both safe.
Gabriel smiles patting up on the bed..."What about Abel? You could be an Abel...I do not know...perhaps a Cain...but spelt more sophisticatedly...K-A-I-N-E?" he offers tot eh wolf...But then he figured that was a silly name for a wolf...However eh noted that Fluffy was off the list. "Maybe I will call you after what kingdom this once was, "Solum." He considers it for a moment and looks tot he wolf as he stretches back under the blanket. "Do you like Solum?" He asks the wolf.
Kayne eagerly jumped up onto the bed, sinking into the soft mattress. It felt like, like sitting on a cloud or possibly on a sheep. He wasn't sure what to compare it to. His ear twitched at the names he suggested and was amused by how close he had come to his real name. So when it was rejected he huffed at the name Solum, not liking it but not disliking it. He crawled along the bed and flopped onto his side, curling up tight so he didn't take much space on the bed. He was there to offer warmth, but there to make sure none tried to kill the prince before he got the information he needed. But most of all he had to pretend to want to be close for now before he snuck off to tell Markus of his findings so far.
Gabriel rolled on his own side wrapping an arm around the wolf. He was careful to not touch him for too long or press into the creature in fear of freezing it. However,it was nice to have some form of company next to him. He felt less lonely. He stroked the wolf's side gently until it made himself fall asleep. All he could think about was saving Annabelle. He dozed off rather quickly. It wasn't long before the door to enter the quarters slid open silently. A man dressed in rags entered the room with a knife in hand. He crept silently to the bedroom door and cracked it. He slid silently into the room and held the dagger high above the Princes chest. He was sent to kill the prince. However, he didn't see the wolf. As the dagger went down Gabriel yelled out in horrible pain. It was daylight by appearance fo the light coloured clouds drifting around the mountains. Gabriel looked only for a moemtn to see he had a dagger sticking out of hsi chest jsut before the man that stabbed him began to shrink into a snake and struck at Gabriel rapidly hitting his forearm.
Kayne found this petting thing to feel rather comforting and warm, it made him want to sleep though he wasn't sure if that was because of the petting or the cold that the prince was giving off. He didn't even realise he was falling asleep until he heard a shriek. He was up and ready to attack, just managing to grab the mans arm enough to divert the knife from the princes heart so it wasn't a fatal blow. Leaving the dagger in place as he jumped at the snake, teeth bared. He hurled the snake at the wall before going after it. He circled the snake, snapping at it as it snapped back. They danced for a moment before Kayne managed grab the snake and bite it in half, hearing a crack and a hiss and it flopped around on the floor as it died. He was definitely going to be punished for this. First thing was first, he had to heal the prince. He grabbed the knife and flung it to the wall, licked at the wound as it started knitting back together. Next was the snake bite but he couldn't do much in his wolf form. Conflicted he shifted, hoping the prince was somewhat delirious enough not to remember the incident. He grabbed the belt off the chair and tied it around the princes arm to cut off blood flow. Next he sucked out the poison, spitting it out after until it was all gone. He never did like the snake bastard and his master. He tore a corner of the bed sheet off to wrap around the wound. He was definitely going to be punished for doing this. But his master had said by any means learn as much as possible. Watching the prince he asked. "Are you ok?"
Gabriel moaned slightly, "I...You are...what...It hurts." His sentence was incoherent and made little to no sense at all. He was just stabbed int he chest and watched his killer shift into a snake only to watch his wolf turn into a man after killing the snake. A very attractive young man who was close to his age no doubt not to mention he was naked. 'Solum', Kayne, turning forma wolf into an attractive man in his buff was a bit of shock and was luckily enough sock to keep him ind off of the pain that he was currently going through. He glanced to the floor to see the bottom half still a snake while the upper half turned into a man. Even in a cut in half form the man looked snake-like. "Solum!!! You were a wolf." He said clutching his chest only to feel the blood was no longer there and his arm tensing at the cloth around it. "What is going on?!" He demands feeling dizzy and dazed.
Kayne kept wiping his tongue against his arm to get rid of the snake flavour he kept tasting. They were always so bitter and sour in the mouth. He knew he'd be sick later. He winced at the curse that hit his ears, realising that Gabriel might not be as delirious as he had somehow hoped. He bowed his head and crossed his legs indian style, having expected this sort of reaction from a mortal. Most freaked out when he casually shifted around them their first time. "You need to lie down, you need to rest. I need to get one of the physicians." He told the prince, though he wasn't sure what else to do other than to calm him down. His current dread was that he was going to be punished and that the master of the snake would want his head. He scratched the back of his head in thought, wondering if he should shift back now and act like nothing had happened and hope the prince thought he'd bee hallucinating.
Gabriel shakes his head. "You are one of those Vampire followers...You are a Lycan!" He felt his body turning colder by the second. Suddenly the room dropped in temperature just as it had with Annabelle. "I knew something was odd about you...what do you want with me?! You plan on killing me too? You just wanted to do it yourself didn't you?!" he says at last crawling out of the bed. His immortal body was healing itself rapidly and he was gaining strength the more he used his power. He didn't know it, but his powers were stronger in xuin for it's cold and dark climate. With little to know sunlight ice was a constant. The room grew colder and colder by the second. "You are one of them! Go ahead try and kill me and it will eb your last time you ever do such a thing." He says as his hands and forearms ebgin to glaze over with ice.
Kayne couldn't look up at Gabriel's accusation because he was right for one thing, though he didn't really like putting himself in the category of a lycan. He was just himself, he didn't know any better. The others were lycans to him, foreign things in his mind. He actually physically flinched because of the sudden cold, his lungs beginning to burn. Hissing he felt the leather under his cuffs begin to shrink and whither, becoming brittle, exposing his flesh to the gold. He immediately tried to keep them away from his skin, but touching them did nothing. His wrists began to burn at the brief contact. "I just saved your life! I don't want to kill you!" He snapped, shaking his hands before immediately shifting. When shifted his trinkets shifted with him meaning his fur helped keep the death traps at bay. What was worse was the cold. He couldn't use the sword and if he got too close he didn't know what would happen so all he could do was back away and curl up, whimpering apologies at the enraged prince.
Gabriel started trying hard to think logically. He began taking in slow deep breaths..."I am sorry...but I am not one to trust any Lycan or Vampire. I am only here to ensure that Annabelle stays safe." Just saying her name made him warm up on the inside. He felt the temperature heat back up slightly. "Listen, Solum...you can change back I am thankful you saved my life. I did not mean to hurt you." He says moving toward the wolf slowly..."Please, forgive me. I do not know anything about you and I'm not even sure if I should trust you, but I have heard stories of your kind. Mortals who sold their souls to Vampires to have the power to shapeshift...I am not about to even trust you....I am in a lot of pain, but I'm not naive. Please shift human again so you can explain yourself so I may have some reason to trust you...please." He told the wolf sitting back down. The room was still frosted over abit, but it was warmer than the constant rush of cold emitting from Gabriel.
Kayne stared at Gabriel for a long moment before lifting his head in worry and uncertainty. He watched the prince almost melt at the mention of the girl, like the name itself emitted warmth in someway. Cautious he licked at his wrists first, allowing some moister to get to the leather. It swelled up but flaked, meaning he'd have to ask his master for a replacement leather for his cuffs. But for the moment he wasn't in pain anymore, his tongue slightly burnt from brushing the gold but nothing that wouldn't heal. Slowly sitting up he shook himself off frost before shifting back into a human. "I-I'm sorry." He bowed his head. "My name is Kayne." He told him, hoping a proper introduction would help him along his path to trust. "You need to rest, keep your pulse rate down. I got most of the poison out but I don't know how much got into your system by the time I got to sucking it out." He made a face at the memory of the taste. "I need to get a physician otherwise master won't be pleased if I have let you die." Though he didn't add prematurely to that sentence. "Besides mortals who come here don't offer themselves willingly." He muttered, having witnessed more than his fair share of turnings and rituals.
Gabriel frowns, "I'm fine...I do not get sick nor do I get ill." he says plainly. "I will not die...I have come close too many times." He turned from the nude body ebfore him...He pulled out a pair of undershorts like what he was wearing. "Here." He says tossing them to him. "Sorry, but in Vada nakedness is seen as crude and indecent." He looked at Kayne finding it ironic how he had nailed his name almost perfectly. "Well...Kayne, who might your master be?" He asks standing and walking over in the corner to face the Lycan.
Kayne didn't catch the item of clothing as it flopped over his head, sliding down his face to land in his lap. His master didn't like nudity either. He obliged, seeing as currently the prince was in a way his master as well. "Lycan poison is different to the average snake." He told the prince. "I've seen it before." He told him, looking away. Unsure if he was meant to say or not he fell silent, contemplating telling the prince, though he supposed it wouldn't matter if he did, the prince would find out anyway. "Master Markus is who." He told the prince, hoping he hadn't made a wrong move. "I really should get a physician." He murmured, getting up.
Gabriel tried to remain calm." You swore an oath to that insolent bastard who deems it so worthy to destroy mortals for mere Lycan creating, Livestock, and slavery?! What sort of place is this? YOu should be ashamed of what you are and as far as your Lycan's venom to hell with it. I have been bitten by serpents ebfore this is nothing new. I should killl...I should....you..." He became lightheaded and suddenly the world was spinning around him. Gabriel collapsed almost instantly. Perhaps Lycan venom was different. It was imbued with dark magic.
Kayne flinched at the princes assaulting words, fists resting on his knees trying his best to keep calm. He wasn't a lycan! He wasn't a monster! And his master wasn't either. But he didn't dare lose his temper in case he got even more punished than he already would be later on. He suddenly looked up at the prince and realised he was swaying, looking rather paler than normal. "Prince Gabriel?" He murmured, quick to catch him before he hit his head. Grabbing something off the bed to put under his head he shifted and darted off to get a physician. Five minutes later with panting to be heard the prince was hauled into bed and made to drink a few remedies that had been made especially for an occasion lycans fought and one got bitten. After the physician left Kayne laid in wait beside the bed.
Gabriel stirred and opened his eyes feebly. "Where...what happened?" he asked looking around and out the window across from the bed the swirling clouds were becoming a vibrant hue of orange and pink. Sitting up he looked to see Kayne..."What happened? Tell me now, Lycan!!!" He ordered coldly.
Kayne was starting to see blurry shapes from lack of sleep when he heard the command from Gabriel, forcing him to snap to attention. He snapped his gaze around the room in alarm before meeting Gabriel's eyes. Stretching to wake himself up he sighed. "You passed out because of what poison managed to get into your system. I did try and tell you to rest and let me get you a physician." He muttered with a huff. This guy was very bad at listening but very good at demanding information he didn't listen to. "I got the physician, you should be fine now, but it is recommended that you rest for a couple of days and that you may have a couple of dizzy spells when you least expect it, possibly even pass out again a couple of times. But other than that you are safe." He mumbled.
Gabriel noticed the sun was already setting when it felt like only moments ago it was rising. "How long was I asleep?" He asked a bit softer. He was actually thankful for Kayne, but that didn't mean he trusted him. "Thank you." He says still a bit coldly. "So tell me the truth, Lycan....why did Markus send you here? To learn the secrets of Vada? Go on tell me the truth. I'm sure you have more than enough information to tell your master once you leave."
Kayne looked to the window and felt his eyes drooping, forcing himself to stay awake and alert. "Two days." He told Gabriel, though the prince might not believe him anyway. With a lycan it normally was a few hours, but because he was mortal it was different. "He didn't send me. I just happened upon you, though I had been hearing rumours." He yawned. "Besides I've never met a guest of Masters, so I wondered what was so special." He told a small lie, he didn't want to blow his chances at gaining information. "Though my master doesn't need my help to get information he wants." He lied again, slightly. Markus really didn't need his help but he knew the reasons why. "Now that you are ok, I'll be going."
Gabriel nods feeling light headed still, yet. "Very well...um...thank you again, Lycan." He said with dreary eyes ebfore falling back asleep completely. It was odd how hsi mind twisted and gripped at his soul as he thought about Lycans and Vampires. Then hsi mind drifted to Annabelle. A poor girl with a beauty about her that even a prince desired. It was unexplainable/ His nightmares shifted into darker thoughts as if he would never escape a lake of blood as Vampires watched him cry and struggle to save those he loved while they were being slaughtered right in front of him.
Kayne got up and went to the door, bowing before opening it to leave. "It's Kayne." He corrected feeling annoyed at the derogatory term he used. "But you're welcome." He mumbled before leaving, letting the prince rest. He immediately shifted into a wolf, feeling sleep tugging at him like a restless child. He didn't think he could make it to his cage so instead he used the clothes given to him as a mat to sleep on, guarding the door until next time. He wasn't really sure what was going on, but what he did know was that he needed to talk to his master and keep Gabriel alive until then. {End of Scene}
Gabriel was pacing back and forth as he began to ponder on his escape. He was not about to let Annabelle rot here muchless himself. He was furious at the fact that someone already tried killing him once not to mention Valentine had pushed him over the edge with his powers. Gabriel was lost and scared ont eh inside and he was more fearful of himself than ever before now. He would have to see Annabelle soon enough.
Amelia decided that it was time she payed a visit to the prince of Vada. She headed to the guest quarters where she knew he would be housed till he was no longer of use to the three rulers of Xuin. As she approached the door, she paused before entering to make sure her hair was in place and that her dress was not wrinkled. Then, after sending a tendril of her power to sense the prince's mood, she knocked on the door softly.
Gabriel moves quickly to the door but opens it cautiously. "Hello?" He asks his tone seeming rather cold, but fear was in his eyes. he was going to be sentenced to death for attacking Valentine. he knew it. Gabriel pulls the door all of the way open with a dark grimace toward the girl. "May I help you? are you sure you are in the right place, miss?" He began to wonder if she was lost or something she appeared too nice to be a servant and she seemed dark and powerful all mixed into this perfect form.
Amelia knew how this little dance was supposed to go. She played innocent and dumb till she was able to find a chink and work her way in. Then, he should be under her control. She gave him a small smile and said, "I hope I'm in the right place. I heard a rumor that a prince from Vada was here and..." she looked up at him shyly, "I was curious. I've never seen a free human before." She could feel his power but couldn't quite tell what it was.
Gabriel allows her in with an odd look, "Well, you must not get out much because in Vada they are pretty much our populace." He says closing the door behind her. "Well, you have seen me now and if you don't mind I enjoy my privacy." He says not wanting to be distracted by petty curiosity. "Please have your look and go. I have a lot on my mind and your presence is disturbing that." He says trying so hard to remain angry at Valentine and Markus and then maybe he would take up the distraction of company. If Kayne only hadn't turned out to be one of those Lycan things he might be a bit more trustworthy with thoughts.
Amelia gave him a small, shy smile as she stared at him. She sent the smallest bit of her power out to calm him down and to have him be more relaxed in her presence. She would get nowhere if she was ushered from his rooms as soon as she had gotten there. "No I've never been outside the fortress before. As a lord's daughter, I don't get to see much. I had to hear the rumor of your arrival from my Lycan when I awoke tonight."
Gabriel nods feeling a bit more at ease with her in the room. "So tell me what exactly are you so curious about. I'm the same as any other human with nicer clothes and personal hygiene and not to mention I am free." He says looking her over before taking a seat and propping a foot on his knee. "So what pushes against your mind to be so curious of humans? You know were our kingdoms more mutual with one another I would probably be pushed to marry a girl like you. A daughter of a lord." He says leaning forward now with hsi fingers crossed together. "So tell me this. As a daughter of a lord who is a Vampire...how were you born. Our stories tell us that the Vampires are the dead brought back to life with black magic and forced to remain so on the lifeforce of the living. Last I checked the dead aren't having interocurse, much less ahving babies all over the place." He was so blind to so many truths and lies that nothing seemed real for the mortal.
Amelia could not help but chuckle. "My lord Prince, I am quite sure you would like to know the story of my birth. It is a grisly one. I can assure you that I did not die to become a Vampire but unlike many of my peers, I had no choice in becoming what I am, nor did my father. There are no born Vampires, for there indeed must be black magic to become one. However, that does not mean we do not like intercourse and that babies are not born from such acts," Amelia said with a secretive smile.
Gabriel nods, "Right...um...then how is it that so many Vampires exist if their numbers were not that of the dead? So many in Vada are taken here and I have seen familiar faces replaced by immortal faces. Tell me this and Iw ill let your curious mind ask it's questions." He was very curious how Vampires were able to have intercourse without rotting or something first. He always beleived them dead immortal or not they ahd to be dead and black magic was involved as the girl just stated. "I must also know how do you come about Lycans, your follwoers?"
"You see so many familiar faces because some humans have been given the honor of bathing in a special room with special water, which turns mortals into Vampires. The rest are former Witches, Witches not happy with the rule of the Kralitsa in Ældingar come here and preform dark magic, causing them to change into a Vampire. I was born a Witch as was my mother and father, though my mother was a Vampire before I was conceived. No one dies to become a Vampire, so get those thoughts of rotting corpses having intercourse out of your head. The child of two Vampires is a Witch." Amelia trailed her hand across the table in the middle of the room as she walked around it.
Gabriel nodded oddly, "Right, well that makes sense I suppose. And what of the Lycans?" He asked figuring the girls thoughts were full of questions of her own so she wouldn't mind all fo his even after he had added a few extra after telling her it was the last one. "What makes a Lycan and are they like humans being turned into Vampires just some turn into something different? I can't work how a Lycan can exist in such a dark place and come form such darkness and evil given I have met some ncie ones and few not too ncie ones." He explains.
"The Lycans are our guards, our servants, anything we want them to be. They are human's taken from your kingdom and changed by the rulers of Xuin. Each is assigned to a different Vampire, the more important you, the more Lycans you have. My father has many. Each Lycan is different though, each shifts into a different animal. Mortals are not usually made into Vampires. It is so very rare when it happens. I cannot remember the last time it happened. They are more likely to become dinner or the strong ones to become Lycans. They are bound to their master or mistress and must obey."
Gabriel felt causeless, " So you simply take our people use them to your advantage and attack us and do as you desire as livestock and slaves and the few unlucky ones are forced into serving you or becoming horrid creatures like yourselves, yet you show no sympathy toward them at all!" Gabriel couldn't believe what he was hearing it made no sense whatsoever.
Amelia let a bit more of her power trickle into the prince's mind. She could defend herself well, she was a Vampire after all, but she did not want to punished for causing harm to him. She let her power become a calming affect on him as she walked over to him. "When you have lived as long as I have, or along as my father or Markus has, you do not get attached to Mortals. You yourself will discover this eventually for I can feel the power in you. I cannot tell what it is, but I know that it is there." She made him see that she was trailing her fingers down his arm. "Tell me Prince Gabriel, what is it that you can do?"
Gabriel breathed uneasily at her touch. His skin grew cold working toward any form of warmth and edging up Amelia's fingers as she touched his icey skin. "My pwoer isn't one that enjoys your kind and Iw ill always be mortal jsut as my mother and father are. "He said feeling a bit calmer now, but the rage was building inside even behind such a mask.
Amelia's eyebrow raised as she felt the temperature around them drop. So it is the cold from which he draws his power. "My dear Prince," her image purred into his ear, "You cannot have such power as this without have an immortal parent. Tell, me which of your parent's is the Witch?" The real Amelia had stepped away the moment she felt the cold. She double checked that her daggers were easily accessible in case he broke through her power for she could sense that though she had calmed his surface emotions, he might explode at any moment.
Gabriel suddenly became confused and lost with what she was handing to him. "What? My father is the King and mother is Queen of Vada. I have no Witch parents and I do not desire any. I am simply a gifted human." He says knowing there to be no such thing as a gifted human. "I'm sorry I can't help you...If I have a parent who is what you once were then they are keeping it a secret."

Two bedrooms linked by a grand room is where any royal guest of other kingdoms will stay for however long they are permitted to live.
