Gabriel entered the bedroom with a nod to the attendant. "Thank you." He said to the man. "Annabelle?" He called out in a low voice as the door was closed and the sound of the lock engaging eacoed for a moment. Gabriel feared for the worse. He began to wonder if he in fact was a hostage to the Dominus of Xuin. He then began to wonder what that meant for those who were sacrificed to Xuin. He knew about the protection order the commoners were forbidden to know of.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle had been curled up on her bed hugging a pillow when she heard a deadbolt slide to unlock her door. Her first thought spiked to fear as she sat up, hugging the pillow tighter in the hopes that it might act as protection or a barrier between her and whatever was choosing to enter her 'cage'. Unconsciously she chewed at the corner of her pillow when she heard an all too familiar voice. Scooting forward to the edge of the bed she peered round the corner to her door. "Y-Your highness?" She questioned, wondering if she was imagining things. Why would such a prestigious figure come visit her or even talk to her for that matter? Knots in her stomach she stood up, still hugging the pillow as a safe guard.

Gabriel tries for a comforting smile, but he was afraid more than her on the inside. "Hello...I guess you won't be falling from chandeliers any time soon." He attempts for a joke, but again it was a fail. "I wanted to ensure you were okay...I have heard many things about the Immortals of Xuin and none are good. What mortals they do not turn into Lycans they feed from and keep like livestock. This time they want to ensure those they feed form are well cared for. Markus and Valentine ordered Blacksmiths to create an indoor farm and farmers to tend to it. I fear if they continue at this rate Vada will be as forgotten as ancient Solum."

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle immediately blushed for the huge blunder back at the castle. She could only dread to think what might've happened had he not caught her in time. Her eyes widened as she realized she was forgetting her manners and immediately bowed. "Y-Your highness, you really didn't need to come and check up on my welfare. I am or at least was in your service.... It is or was my job to ensure your needs were met." She stayed bowing is she listened to his description, only having heard stories of vampires and lycans but never believing, only now she was beginning to doubt her own beliefs. Peeking up at Gabriel through her lashes she felt slightly shaken. "Livestock....?" She remembered the way the dark man before had said the same with an air of blood lust. She went pale as she bent her head, hugging her pillow that much tighter. "Your highness you should leave then, leave while you can." She murmured.

Gabriel wanted to hold her hands in comfort, but knew the dangers if he did so..."I can not...I will not without you." His eyes grew more fixed on her own, "Annabelle, I am unsure if I should tell you my secrets thus far, but I will tell you that ever since the moment I laid eyes on you I felt something inside of me react in a way I never knew possible. A connection that I can't explain. From the moment of seeing you each day I grew more control over my powers and I can only say that if something happens to you I fear for the worse. Right now, you mean everything to me as far as finding out what I am...I mean as far as discovering my potential." He tried hard to avoid the true reasoning behind his infatuation with her and was unable to suppress too much. His eyes flitted to the window as a single ray of sunlight at last peaked in before the clouds swallowed it whole only to make dusk recognized. "I am getting us out of here and you aren't going to be a victim to these...these creatures of the night...no Lycan or Vampire will harm you for as long as I can help it." He promises as if taking an oath to her.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle listened to his confession as her ears started to burn, her whole face going read out of excitement and embarrassment, feeling like she was crossing so many boundaries in one go. Slowly she stood up straight but kept her eyes on her pillow, picking at a few threads. She couldn't believe he was confessing something like this so boldly. She thought she was being childish for having a deep seated crush on him, even those back home told her she was being ridiculous, that she only felt the way she did because he saved her life. "Powers?" She questioned, though she really didn't want to know. Right now she was too frazzled. "Your highness, please, don't mind me, I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you on my behalf. You needn't care. You are a prince, the next in line to take the thrown. Vada needs you. No one needs me. I'm not important. Please go. You have the potential to become something great, so please.... " She took in a shaky breath realizing she probably spoke out of turn. She bowed again before turning and going back to sit on her bed. Someone knocked and placed a tray of food on her bedside before leaving. It looked part slop, part burnt. But hey it was better than some of the things she had eaten over time.

Gabriel looked at the fod in disgust, "I am sorry, Annabelle, but if I need not care then tell me this food is suitable for more than simple livestock. Tell me that what you are here for is worth living. I will not stand and wait for you to simply die. Markus has made me a prisoner here just as much as yourself I will find a way to escape and end the reign of terror that Markus holds over us and all of Vada." He then came into more realization to her words, "Hmmm...Don't flatter me. I am the second son to the king of Vada. I have no right to the throne. Once my older brother marries he will ascend the throne and his children will ascend the throne and their children. I will always be remembered as the second son. My own sister has more rights over the throne that myself." His face would have turned red, but he was so cold it seeme dto turn more pale. He was truly getting heated up in a freezing way. Suddenly the air in the room began to drop in an instant temperature tot he point that the room felt as cold as it was outside. Annabelle's breath was visible, but Gabriel's was not. The stone floor at his feet began to frost even his silver and blue clothes began to frost.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle stared at the food trying to decipher it, wondering what it had previously been before it had been massacred into burnt slop. She hugged her pillow as if flinching at his words. Because he was right. She didn't want to be here, not like this. She wanted to go home, do her job, hunt for food, see her family. This felt worse than prison. Once he started ranting about the throne she felt the temperature drop vastly, the chill hitting her spine as plumes of smoke left her lips. She was immediately wrapped in shivers as she dared to look up at the prince. He looked other worldly, ghostly even as he stood there, yet there was something about it that was also beautiful to witness. Getting off the bed she left the pillow and made her way carefully over to him. Raising her hands terrified she'd be reprimanded for doing so, she cupped his face, shivering uncontrollably. "Y-Your highness?" She breathed, finding her fingers became frosted over. She pulled his face towards her own, their foreheads meeting. "Y-You have great power, with that nothing can stop you. Nothing is impossible. Only you can stop yourself from being something great. Besides, I'm sure Vada would give you their vote of confidence if you just let them see who you truly are and just how great a leader you can be. Please calm down, breath. Think of something that makes you feel warm." She stuttered through her bout of shivers, feeling the frost run down her arms uncaring that it was becoming slightly painful. He needed her help this time and she would give it willingly in return for the debut she had put herself in.

Gabriel shuddered only for a moment at her touch something so foreign to him and yet so relaxing. He felt warm under her touch and seeing what he was doing to her made him pained to know he had such deadly power. He steps back form her quickly in fear of what she was truly thinking. "Annabelle...I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt...I am sorry." His words were lost in fear of what might have happened if she continued to hod on to him, but her touch was so gentle and soft and warm. He couldn't believe he was saying it to himself, but Annabelle gave him warmth. The room seemed ot heat back up dramatically to it's original temperature which propbably felt like paradise to Annabelle compared to what Gabriel jsut made happen. He turns to the door his head pressed agianst it and his hand on the pull turning the metal frosted. "I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to." He syas more so to himself than her.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle felt almost frozen in place as he jumped away from her like she'd just burned him. The moment he left her, she almost immediately warmed up but not nearly as fast as she would have liked. It was almost painful to breath but it got a little easier. She watched as his face etched itself into pain and shame. "I-It's o-k." She assured him, still shivering like crazy. Once the room was back to its original temperature she was able to feel movement come back to her limbs, teeth chattering as she walked forward. She was scared but also worried. She placed her hand over his, trying to be reassuring in someway. "Its ok. I'm fine. A little chilly, but nothing too drastic that I can't warm up under the covers." She attempted a teeth chattering smile. "Please don't be sorry." She placed her hand over his heart. "Try not to let it control you that's all." She murmured. "Are you ok?" She asked.

Gabriel began to control his breathing and he lightly pushed her hand back to her softly. "I'm fine...are you hurt?" He asks just to make sure. "I don't know where it comes form Witches and Vampires are the only creatures I know to have such abilities and I am neither. I am born of a mortal king and mortal queen. I am lost to where I get this frozen death trap from and I have no idea how to control it long enough to be touched. I have only found what bit of control I do hold from you." He says looking deep into her eyes. "I am getting the both of us and whomever I can gather to follow out of Xuin. However, I must warn you it is not safe to touch me and many of those who know my secret in the castle of Vada are sworn to silence. My nurse maids were unable to touch me...my mother unable to hold me. I have been forbidden to leave the castles confinement for this very reason and that is why I am unable to find love or much less a friend."

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle felt slightly hurt that he pushed her away, but could understand his fear of the unknown. However, she didn't want him to suffer in silence, especially when she felt that she might be able to help in anyway. Of course she was only mortal and had no experience with magic of any kind, but she had witnessed magic sometimes, when she had to venture outside of the Vada boundaries to get food. She blushed despite the cold still penetrating her bones, which coincidently made her warm up faster. "I promise I won't tell anyone anything you don't want me to tell them." She promised, grasping his hand in protest to his rejection. "But something tells me that your fear and those that fuel your fear are making your magic stronger, that it is allowing your magic to control you." She pulled his hand up and placed it over his heart. "Something in there has to thaw your frozen heart. There is always a way to break a spell." She smiled, uncaring if she was shivering. "I admit your power scares me but there is also something beautiful about it that shouldn't go unshared. But that is also what makes me want to help even if it is scary." She told him, letting his hand go, knowing she really was overstepping the mark. "Don't do anything drastic." She warned. "When escaping a hunter you have to know your surroundings first. Then it is just a game of one outsmarting the other." She returned to her bed, hugging her pillow for warmth. "You better go before things get too dangerous."

Gabriel bows his head pained at the thought that she actually saw goodness in such a magic that only brought forth pain and chilling fear. "Thank you Annabelle...I will see you each and every day until I have enough followers to escape this mountain prison built of the damned." He swears to her before knocking on the door as the bolt slides open and he is released. Gabriel enters the corridor in hopes to speak with Markus on the terms of annabelle's release. He had to use each of his resources. If pleasantry was not to get what he wanted then it was to be far more aggressive.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle gave a faint smile, knowing he would most likely keep his word but at a heavy price if what he told her was right. "Thank you." She told him, tucking her legs under her to gain more warmth. "B-Be careful." She told him as she watched him leave, listening as the bolt slide back into place with a looming thud, emphasising her imminent death and imprisonment. She didn't eat, unable to work up the hunger to do so, plus she was used to not eating for days on end anyway. She climbed under the covers and continued to hug the pillow, trying not to let the threat of vampires and lycans get to her too much. She missed her misfit family.

Amelia drifted down the hall, a bored expression on her face. She stopped in front of the door that a Lycan had told her belonged to the girl called Annabelle. She lifted the latch and pushed the door open, entering to room. She closed it swiftly before turning to face the room. She narrowed her eyes slightly when she saw the girl huddled under the covers and tried to adopt a more friendly expression on her face. "You must be Annabelle. I am Amelia," She said, extending her power so that she would be ready to manipulate the girl's emotions.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle woke startled at the sudden voice of greeting in her room. She didn't even hear the dead bolt open. Maybe the cold had gotten to her more than she had thought. Sluggish Annabelle looked weary eyed up at the newcomer into her room. It took her mind a moment to register what was going on and who was in front of her, but it didn't take long for her to feel a spidery sensation along her skin. "H-How do you know my name?" She asked, clutching at her pillow. Something felt off, something wasn't right about the women in front of her. Fear started to take root as she continued to stare at Amelia, the darkness around her was uncanny. Just like the man back at the castle, but possibly less potent. "W-What do you want of me?" She asked, thinking she would just continue to do the same job she had been doing back at Vada.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"I know your name because I asked who was in this room and the Lycan told me," Amelia told her, raising an eyebrow at the girl. She seemed slow to her, not quite quick enough to see what was going on around her. "What I want of you is to talk." Amelia sent a bit more of her power out to make the girl want to please her.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle nodded in understanding, realising that that made more sense, maybe she was just jumping to the wrong conclusions, maybe she was just being stupid. "Well nice to meet you Miss Amelia." She smiled slightly, still groggy with sleep and cold. "What would you care to talk about?" She asked softly, stretching her aching muscles as she scooted to sit at the edge of the bed, ready to listen and reply. The spidery sensation became more irritating, rubbing her arms to try and get rid of it but didn't realise she was under the influence of another. "I've only just arrived so I'm afraid I don't know much." She covered her mouth as she erupted into a deep yawn.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia had the resist the urge to allow her face to resume her normal stoic mask. This girl could not be more boring. She was disappointed. She thought her father had finally given her a challenge, something to really test her and her powers. "Tell me about yourself," she said. "What was your job in Vada? How well do you know the Vada prince?"

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle gave herself a couple of slaps to the cheek to wake herself up properly so she would pay more attention, the sensation along her skin becoming unbearable. Unconsciously her mind pulled away from the influence with ease as she tried to rub the sensation away. "I-I um..." She found it hard to think properly. "I was a servant at the Vada palace." She told the women, feeling a sudden pressure on her temples, hissing in irritation. "Why do you want to know about the prince?" She asked, curious as to why someone like her needed to know about someone as high as the prince, a blush creeping through at the very thought of him. "Besides what do you wish to know about me?" Though she couldn't understand why the women seemingly found her life so fascinating.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"I want to know about the prince because technically speaking, I rank higher than him. I want to know about the son of the neighboring kingdom." Amelia gave her a withering look. She concentrated on her power and made Annabelle feel more willing to please her. For some reason, her earlier command was wearing off faster than it usually did on a human. "And you? I don't really know. Just tell me what ever you think is relevant." Amelia then turned and draped herself on a chair.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle's eyes immediately widened at the statement. Someone higher than the prince. The ingrained need to bow had her tensing. She knew she should but she couldn't bring herself to bow to someone, no, something so dark hearted. The look she received confirmed her suspicions. The women before her was not normal, the women before her had power along the same level as the man back at the castle. It sent chill up her spine really waking her up. Fear crept up on her and latched on. She had to be very careful. She suddenly felt a reeling fog engulf her mind, causing her to go a little glassy eyed. "The prince is able to -" She broke through the fog, sucking in air like she had been suffocated, breaking the hold Amelia had on her. It dawned on her that the women before her was using some kind of magic to manipulate her mind. She had almost given into Amelia's questions, almost spilling the princes secret. "I don't know anything about the prince." She told the women, trying to keep the fog at bay. "I was a servant at Vada, that is all you need to know." She muttered.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia's eyebrow raised as she felt her power being broken by the girl once again. So, she wasn't a slow as she seemed to be. At last a challenge. "Let's try this again. I am Amelia Margaret Deering, daughter of the Arbiter, one of the rulers of this land. You will answer me." Amelia sent a sharp needle of her power at the girl to overwhelm her senses. "Tell me what you were saying about the prince. I know that he is different than the rest of you weak mortals. I want to know what he can do."

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle suddenly felt small compared to the size of her room. The suffocating need to run was overwhelming and yet she didn't think she could move even if she wanted to, she wouldn't dare to either. She buckled at the slice of pain that went through her mind, bringing tears to her eyes. She couldn't breath as she clutched at her head, panic setting in. Her lips flapped open and closed yet nothing came out. Her will was being broken because of a selfish being. She struggled to look up at Amelia, tears making tracks down her cheeks. "I can't tell you. I won't tell you. I made a promise." She choked on her own words, whimpering at the pain. But she wasn't easily broken. She had built up strength and confidence over the years, being able to pick herself up and dust herself off many times after different forms of abuse by those with more money and power than herself. "Argh! Get out of my head!" She snapped, shoving Amelia out of her thoughts with as must strength as she could muster for the moment. She sagged in relief of the pain, realising she was now shaking. She had to protect herself somehow so she imagined loads of walls to keep Amelia at bay hopefully.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia's head snapped back as her power was sent back at her. She gasped and reeled as her senses went wild. Her hands went to her head, clutching at it. Her eyes darkened with rage and her fangs extended. Never had anyone dared to show her this much disrespect before. She gathered her power to her and slowly let it creep its way towards Annabelle. She was surprised when she felt resistance, almost as if the girl was putting up walls against her. She was however, no match for her power. While letting the bulk of her power press against the wall, a small bit of it slid through the small chinks in walls making its ways towards her emotional center, and making her want to do as Amelia said. "Come closer Annabelle," she said softly, retracting her fangs.

message 27: by Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (last edited Oct 20, 2014 07:46PM) (new)

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle shook as she watched Amelia, the way her eyes suddenly become something monstrous, something she had never seen before in any other being. Fear was not kind to Annabelle's shaky senses. She felt a pressure against the front of her mind, more tears filling up her vision as she struggled to imagine her walls, each one breaking slowly but surely one after the other. She feebly shook her head in protest. "No, please, don't." Seeing the nightmare of fangs. Vampire. Immediately her thoughts went to the promise the prince had made and hoped he never found out. Her struggle being feeble as her last wall crumbled under the pressure. She went still, her eyes glassy as the thick intoxicating power drowned her forcing her to get up and walk towards Amelia. Her fingers brushed the bed and over the bed post, trying desperately to grasp onto something to stop herself but she betrayed herself as she made it to Amelia, shaking like a leaf. "N-No..." Died on her lips as she knelt before Amelia. She fought as much as she could, to find any kind of way of escaping from the thick oil embracing her, any way of forcing the foreign thoughts from her mind.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

"Now, kneel," she said as she watched the pretty mortal walk over to her. Her power had broken through the girls walls and that made Amelia relieved. She did not know what she would have told her father if she had not been able to gain control over her. She also hoped that she had not broken the girl after she had promised not to. Somehow though, she felt that she had not broken the girl. A small part of Annabelle seemed to be still fighting her. Amelia wrapped her power more firmly around her mind. "Tell me what I want to know," she said and she reached out to run a finger along her jaw.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle's tears hit the floor with soft splatters, mentally struggling with everything she had, trying to find a life line of some sort, but she got pulled under the thick sea of oil far too quick and it seemed to force her to stop shaking. "The prince is not allowed to leave the castle, though we were never meant to know why, not to ask questions. He has power, magic, though I'm not sure how strong he is. It is a strange and beautiful sort of power, though can kill if set too deeply into ones being I suppose. I don't know what his power is, nor what it is called. He doesn't understand what he is or why he has the power he has. He has two mortal parents yet someone hinted that that fact was not true." She told Amelia in a monotone voice, glassy eyed and doll like, almost lifeless as she knelt. Yet her fight was not over, she kept managing to reach out of the thick darkness but never grabbing hold of anything to pull herself out with.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia was kept busy mentally as she squashed each of the attempts that Annabelle made to pull herself out of the fog that she had put her in. "What is his power? Does he cause things around him to move, burst into flame? Or is it something in the mind like mine? Who is rumored to be another parent for him?"

message 31: by Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (last edited Oct 20, 2014 08:24PM) (new)

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle tensed at the ambush of questions, struggling even more desperately to get out of Amelia's grip. She didn't want to say, she didn't want to ruin the princes chances of escape or surprise. She didn't want to let go of their secret. She had promised. "I-It's ...." She struggled with her own voice, imagining a rope to grab onto. She clutched at it with everything she had, using what strength she had to pull, just about able to breath, some life returning to her eyes but barely. "...something to do with..." She choked again as she mentally pulled herself out, kicking at anything that tried to suck her back in. She tried to imagine sharp light and wind cleansing herself of the darkness, refusing to be drowned by darkness. Annabelle fell back onto her hands, gasping for air like she had run miles full speed without stopping. Immediately she scrambled away from the women. "Leave me alone." She whispered in fear, immediately imagining shields upon shields surrounding her. She didn't want to be controlled anymore.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia got to her feet, her eyes flashing once more. She walked over to Annabelle and knelt down next to her. She put her face close to hers. "How are you breaking my powers? The only people who should be able to do under the assault I just put you under are vampires. One of which, I know you are not. So tell me girl, how are you doing it?"

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle was beginning to hyperventilate at how close Amelia got, feeling like livestock just then, something to be used and abused and it was scaring her more than anything she had ever been through before. Wide eyed she scrambled further away but her back hit a wall. "I-I don't know. I just don't want you in my head. I don't know how you are doing it, but I refuse to be controlled. I won't betray him. I owe him my life. I won't do it!" She squeaked, her trembling returning. "Just stop it, stop it please." She didn't think she could take much more. This felt like a nightmare in itself. She just hoped that Amelia never got her hands on the prince. Her head was throbbing from the pain of the struggle and felt like she might pass out if she had to fight again.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia let a small, barely noticeable thread of power leak into the girl's mind. This one was meant to help her calm down. She couldn't have the girl hurting herself. That would be no way for her to get into her father's good graces. Amelia sat up so that her face was not on top of the girls. She cocked her head to the side and said, "What did he do for you to cause such loyalty?"

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle started to calm down ever so slightly, her breathing just about returning to normal as she watched Amelia with fear gripping her heart. It caused her suspicion when Amelia backed off just a little, it didn't seem right after all the mental force she had just poured onto her. It felt like a trap. Blushing a little at the memory she turned her face away in protest. "He caught me. I was cleaning a chandelier and he caught me from a very deep fall. I would be dead or worse by now if it wasn't for his highness." She murmured, wondering why in gods name she was confessing something like that to the monster before her.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

"Ah. I see. You feel as though you owe him a life debt." So this is how she was able to resist, Amelia thought to herself. Not changing how much power she had in Annabelle, Amelia changed how it would make her feel. Now she would want to defend the prince's actions and perhaps this mysterious power she knew of would be revealed. "You feel this way even though he almost killed you?" Amelia said, hoping she had interpreted correctly what Annabelle had said earlier about the prince's power being set to deeply into someone.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle looked down at her hands, unable to look at Amelia anymore, it was becoming too painful to do so. "Yes, I suppose..." She frowned, wondering why she was willingly talking to her, shaking off the feeling of it being a trap. She snapped her gaze up to meet Amelia's with confusion. "No! He's never tried to kill me! It wasn't his fault, he couldn't control his power, he doesn't know how." She told Amelia, hugging herself as if the cold was still deeply set into her bones. "He just needs to find his centre, his-" She gritted her teeth and made one last attempt at forcing out anything foreign from her thoughts, finding whispers of fog. "Stop it!" She snapped, holding her head as if that might help. "Get out, I won't tell you, you won't get it out of me." She huffed, attempting to get up and move away from Amelia, as if distance would help in someway.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia stood then and walked back over to the chair she had been sitting in earlier. "Fine," she said bored. She lifted one of her hands and started to pick at her nails.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle watched as she just walked away, like nothing had happened, like some spoiled little child. She got up with wobbly legs and went over to the door, banging on it twice so that guard would open it up. "Get out then." She told Amelia. "I do not want you in here anymore, get out." She muttered, going over to her bed. She didn't think she'd last much longer awake. Despite the sleep she'd already had, her mind was shaken and she didn't doubt that more sleep would come very easily. "Leave me alone." She murmured, hugging the pillow to her as she sat down on the edge of the bed.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Amelia gave a short laugh. She found it funny that this little human thought she could tell her what to do. She watched as Annabelle went to the bed in the room. It looked as though she would fall asleep any minute. This would be a good time to try one last time to see what the prince's power was. She sent an even small bit of her power towards her. "Is the prince hot or cold?"

Her eyes felt like lead and no amount of strength would stop her from falling into a deep sleep. But at the sudden question she looked a little dead eyed as she stared at Amelia, purple bags seemingly have suddenly appeared from all the stress placed on her mind. "Both." She replied partly in rebellion. She wasn't stupid, she knew when Amelia was manipulating her, it normally came with a question or something she wanted from her. She wouldn't stop fighting as long as she had the strength and the will. "Leave." She muttered, eyes drooping yet she still continued to fight herself and whatever fog still lingered.

Amelia had to prevent herself from hissing at the girl for being so stubborn. "Do not think that this is over Annabelle. You will see me again." She got up from her chair and went to the door. She opened it up and left the room. The girl had vexed her and this caused some of her power to leak out to two of the Lycans that were in the hall. They began to argue with each other. Amelia did not care and went in search of her father to tell him what she had found.

((do you want to have her find her father now?))

If not she could sense that anymore attacks like that and she might break, might die even. And she couldn't do that not yet. Not when the prince was in danger. The moment Amelia left she finally was able to breath but passed out almost immediately as she fell back against the bed.

Gabriel entered her room with a smile not having noticed Kayne following him. "I just had to make sure you were still...." He rubs his throat nervously, "You know...alive...human...." he says looking her over. "I'll have to speak with Markus about getting you some more clothes to change into because those were never half as tattered as they are now when you worked for us in Vada. They had been here almost two weeks now and still it was hard to keep up with the days and nights with such deep fog and mist outside. "I am well...How are you?" He asks looking her over closely.

Luna ❤Thing 5❤ (moonflower3) | 1031 comments Annabelle had lost a little weight since getting here and considering she had just managed to get to a healthy weight this was a bit of a set back. She nodded in understanding as she sat at the edge of her bed, bringing her knees to her chest. "Apparently no for long." She whispered dejectedly. "Apparently I am no longer useful and not only that but the creatures roaming around here keep chasing me, tricking me, it is a lot of fun. Not only that but the food I keep receiving won't stay down. Though my chat with Markus earned me some fresh fruit." She closed her eyes. "As for how I am... Well I think I liked it better when I was an orphan." She mused half heartedly. Even when she was an orphan she lived better than this. Now she was being kept in a fancy cage made to look like a bedroom, like she had free will, like she was being treated like a human. Fake, all of it. "You should leave before something happens."
