Arabella sat on a stump of a tree, humming softly to herself. It was a very accent nursery rhyme that her mother used to sing to her as a child. Just thinking about her mother made her heart ache, as if a cold iron fist was closing it's self around it. She stopped humming, and folded her hands into her lap. Her dark hair fell around her shoulders, having some dead leaves and flowers poking out here and there. Her dress was no different, apart from that it was white. The Seer looked out of place in the darkness. Though she did look sinister, if her eyes ha been open, but they weren't.
Eris wasn't quite sure what she was doing there. She wasn't exactly hunting for prey as she had just fed a day ago nor was she searching for something. Maybe it was just to get her mind free of worries and matters. Even just to laze around in her room back at the palace wasn't enough, seeing that she didn't have much privacy back there. And now here she was, pacing around the Dark Woods with only her enhanced eyesight to guide her; there weren't much fireflies at the moment. Turning at a bend, Eris could only stare at shock as she spotted a figure sitting on a tree stump, motionless. What the... ?
"I hope I did not startle you." Arabella said softly and stood up. Her hands were still clasped together. She smiled a little and she opened her eyes, which were a shocking light grey with flecks of blue in them. "What brings you here, your highness?" She asked and respectfully lowered her eyes to the ground. She had seen this conversation in her dreams. But it wold go one of tow ways. And hopefully, if she played her cards right, she would walk away in time for dinner. But it didn't stop her from feeling slightly nervous, who wouldn't? This was the Red Queen.
Eris' mouth fell open at the shock of seeing the girl's eye colour. All her life, she had only seen such a shade thrice from three different women. And what made her encounters with them worth remembering was that though her conversations with them were short, they spoke of things to come that left her aghast. Hearing the mysterious girl's question, Eris narrowed her eyes then boldly took a step forward. A moment of hesitation passed before she decided to reply "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that? A young girl all alone in the Dark Woods?"
Arabella shrugged. "I live here. Haven't you heard the rumors? I'm that crazy cannibal." She said with disgust. People and their imagination.... She sighed and looked at the spot where she thought the Queen was standing, she was completely off course, she was looking in the wrong direction. Her smile was strained as she spoke, "Have you come here to have your fortune told? She asked.
((Sorry for the shortness :/))
((Sorry for the shortness :/))
((Don't worry 'bout it! I really don't mind, honestly ^.^))Hearing the girl's reply, Eris arched an eyebrow at her as a quiet sigh escaping her lips. Even if she had heard the rumors, she wouldn't believe them that easily. A cannibal living in the Dark Woods? Unlikely. And when she saw the girl face a direction away from hers, Eris couldn't help but tilt her head sideways in wonder; was this girl blind? If so, then all the more it was unlikely that she was that 'crazy cannibal'. All these thoughts fought for her focus inside her mind but all were silenced when she heard the next question. "Fortune told? I thought you said you were a cannibal." she scoffed, doing her best to hide her anxiety. What was going on?
"Oh please. I couldn't hurt a dragon, even if I wanted to." She said softly and walked towards the queen. Her long white gown trailing behind her. She smiled a little. "So, you do not pay attention to rumours." She said, almost in a questioning manner. Even though she was blind, she knew exactly what the Queen looked like. And who she was, what she was. Sadly, she even knew a little bit about her personal life as well.
"As if you can find a dragon in this place." Eris replied, hoping the fear in her voice wasn't vague. Panic and anxiety were rising in her chest and her heart's beating was a roaring in her ears. Who was this girl? What was she doing here? What did she have to say? Even when her eyes managed to catch the smile despite the darkness, chills went down her spine. "No, I don't. It's rarely I do so. Besides, I've my own business to mind to." she answered, scrunching her eyebrows.
"Oh, of course. Silly me. Your the Red Queen! You have executions to plan." Arabella muttered and stopped a few feet away from the Queen, sensing her discomfort. "My lady, are you intimidated by me?" She asked with surprise. Her eyebrows arched to match what she was feeling. "I may be blind, but I don't bite, no pun intended." She said softly.
Seeing the girl stop feet away, Eris then pushed away her anxiety before taking two steps forward. "Intimidated? Hardly." she answered in a condescending tone, frowning at the girl's words. But her reply was a lie, of course. No, she didn't want to know her fortune or anything at all- she was better off that way. Yet still, a part of her wanted answers so at least she could be ready. "You may lack eyesight, yes, but you do see, don't you?" Eris gave her response, arching a dubious brow at her while doing her best to keep a calm disposition.
"Yes, I do see." She said with a confused expression on her face. "But not like you, I see people in visions. If I am correct you have auburn hair and green eyes? Or were they brown? I didn't get a close enough look at your face." She said and took a step back. "I do not wish any violence, mind you. So, don't get any wrong ideas." She said bluntly. Many people had tried to attack Arabella, and she had the scars and bruises to prove it.
At hearing the girl's description of her, a hand instinctively went to touch a lock of her hair. "Close enough." she remarked, slightly disturbed at the eye color the girl had seen in her visions. Green was close to blue but brown? It was close to red in a way, which happened to be her eye color when she was at a weakened state. "You don't look like you mean any harm, anyway." Eris remarked dismissively. "What is your name, girl?"
"I thought we settled that earlier?" Arabella asked with a raised eyebrow. "My name is none of your concern, your majesty. But since you asked So nicely," she said sarcastically. "My name is Ozzete Kingman." She lied. She didn't Wa t the Queen to know her real name, what if she sent soldiers after her to capture her? That wouldn't be good.
"Ozzete Kingman then." Eris echoed the girl's name, the pride still prevalent in her voice. "So... you've seen me despite your blindness." she began, holding her hands together. "In your visions, if I recall correctly... I reckon it wasn't just me standing here, in the Dark Woods, isn't it? You've seen something, in the future, that includes me." Eris tried to guess, starting to circling the girl, deep in thought. "What will it cost for you, a seer, to tell me what you've seen? If you agree to tell me so what you've seen."(( sorry for le bad reply :P ))
((It's okay, sorry for the late reply :/))
Arabella gulped fiddling with the hem of the sleeve of her dress. She chewed her bottom lip, showing obvious signs of nervousness. "Well, you are correct. I have seen the future, about you- no, about many poeple; the Red organization and the White organization." She said quietly. She looked up and sensed the Queen circling her. The blind seer felt like pray, trying to hide from a predator. The predator being the Queen. Oh, what have I gotten myself into now? She thought to herself and shifted her weight from one foot to the other.

((SLR, I had to find myself in the mood))Eris could see in the darkness the way the young girl was now reacting to her pacing around. Tilting her head to the side, she said, "Oh, don't be afraid." Eris told her; after all, she was just curious. She wasn't that cruel of a queen, especially since she wasn't in her kingdom's territory. "And... what else did you see? War?" she gave her guess. "Or is it something better kept to yourself?"
((It's fine!))
Arabella kept quiet for a very long time before finally daring to speak. "I saw... nothing pretty. It was brutal. I am afraid I can't say anything else." She said and dropped her head, squeezing her eyes shut. Her hands balled into fists as she crossed her arms over her small chest. After while she opened her eyes, not that it made any difference.

((Is this still on? Please feel free to hit me with a brick.))
At hearing the girl's words, Eris stiffened. Oh no, this was not good at all. Was war near brewing? As far as Eris knew, they were good at the moment, both kingdoms minding their won businesses. Unless August was planning things behind her back. Which seemed unlikely, seeing how long ago she had ruled that she would be the prime between them two. "Have you told anyone else of this?" she then asked in a calm voice after a moment of watching the young lady in concealed worry.
((It is. and don't worry, I have been pre-occupied with my own problems anyway.))
She chewed her bottom lip as the Red Queen stared at her, waiting for an answer. "N-no, my lady." She said breathlessly, all of a sudden she felt awkward and scared. Her brows knitted together making a crease appear between her eyebrows. She started to tug on the sleeve on her dress nervously. "I told you- well, because you asked. But for reasons I shall not share, people are afraid to approach me." Arabella muttered with disgust and hurt obvious in her soft voice.

Layla perch on her branch and watched the fire flies zoom around the woods floor, she wanted nothing more then to jump down and chomp them up. Her tail flicked back and forth as she assessed how she was to attack.
Arielle appeared in the forest and looked around, her eyes adjusting to the dark lights. She folded her wings and walked further into the woods. She lifted her head and tilted it when she noticed someone perching in a tree, watching the fireflies. "Hello" she said, watching the girl with interest.
Layla screeched and fell off the branch landing on her feet watching the fire flies swoosh away, she turned to the voice and hissed " That was very rude"
Arielle frowned slightly "I'm sorry" she said, running a hand through her hair. "I didn't mean to scare you"
layla huffed " scare me?, highly unlikely." she stated then it dawned on her. she turned and looked at the stranger. Tilting her head she watched her. Slowly she stalked the girl. " And what are you doing in a god forsaken place like this?" she asked the angel. she smiled at the girl, watching with predatory glee
Arielle watched the girl. "I came to wonderland from earth." She said in a calm tone, her green eyes glowing a bit as a firefly flew by. "I'm exploring. This place is very interesting." She said, pulling her wings a bit tighter against her back at the look the girl was giving her. "What are you doing here?"
layla smirked " i live here" she smiled full fang. " you might want to be careful, sometimes little girls go wondering out into the woods at night and poof they mysteriously vanish" layla spoke with a sticky sweet voice. all the while stalking the girl in a circle. She smiled and vanished, transforming into cat form her smile and eyes appearing. " IF you go out into the wood tonight your sure to find a surprise."
Arielle shifted her weight, her angel blade sliding into her hand. "Thank you for the warning" she said, watching the smile and eyes. "But I think I can handle myself" she said, looking around the woods. She could tell that this girl could be a threat but she wasn't scared. She couldn't actually feel fear.
Cheshire smiled. " what an nifty little blade you have their." she spoke slowly. and she reappeared and licked her paw. she was a big cat much larger then any other cat in wonderland. Cheshire stood to be at least 5 feet tall and 6 feet long. with beautiful blue and purple fur. she watched the young girl " put it away" she smirked at the little blade " dont flatter yourself if i wanted to hurt you, you would be dead already."
Arielle lifted her hand and the blade disappeared, she held the cats gaze calmly "you are strange" she said, tilting her head "but surely not one of my fathers creations"

Cheshire stopped licking her paw, " your father" she asked calmly then started to laugh. " obviously you haven't been in wonderland very long let me give you some advice okay" she jumped down and started to walk towards the girl. her furry ears twitching in annoyance " Their is no God in wonderland." she trotted past the girl then looked behind her and sat down studying the girl. " how old are you and whats your name?"
Arielle frowned and turned to keep her gaze on the cat. "I am millions of years older than earth or this place" she said, keeping her voice even. "And my name is Arielle, the lioness of God. What is your name?"
Cheshire's tail twitched as she watched arielle. " What interesting news one thing we have in common." she paused to lick her leg. " for a old lady your very young looking." she scrunched the girl out. " know tell me" she said as she trotted to the girl and rubbed her tail into her face " whats a angel like you doing in the big bad forest."
Arielle swatted her tail away with slight annoyance. "I'm here to explore" She said, crossing her arms over her chest. "What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice smooth and her gaze growing colder
Cheshire growled a warning at her then jumped to the dead log in front of them and started to lick her tail. " i live here" she stated as if the girl was stupid, everyone knew who she was just had never seen her, and now this little bratty child was contradicting her.
"In such a dark lonely place?" Arielle asked, raising an eyebrow "that's depressing" she said, stretching her wings out a bit. "Do you always act so rude to visitors?"
"You act as though I am younger than you, yet I am probably as old or older than you" Arielle said, watching the cat with slightly narrowed eyes. "Why do you live in such a dark lonely forest?"
Cheshire snuffled at the age joke. " have you ever heard of the legends of the Cat sidhe in fae folklore?" i have been around for many things. People make up such storys as ive been as old as wonderland." Cheshire smirked. then calmly spoke around licking her paw " i live where i choose." she looked up " i am a cat" she spoke as if it was obvious and the angel was stupid
Arielle rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "Yes, I can see that you are a cat" she said, pulling her wings back against her body. "But this seems like such a dreary place to live. Out of all the beautiful places here"
"I suppose so" Arielle mused. "Whats further into the forest?"
Cheshire vanished and reappeared as Layla. she stood tall and shrugged " boogarts, and death most likely" she smirked " wanna go see ?" she asked
Arielle smiled a bit and nodded. "Please." she said, running a hand through her hair
Layla smiled " be warned thought." she paused and looked at the girl " these woods are not child's play. their are things in here even i dont mess with"
Arielle raised an eyebrow slightly and nodded. "I'll be sure to keep my distance from anything that seems too dangerous" she said, though she knew she could probably handle almsot all of the things she faced.
Layla smriked " well alright this way if you dare" she started to skip , she vanished and reappeared just 3 feet down the path. humming to herself " oh do try to keep up id hate to have to pull you out of a treeblerps mouth, or out of the razer sharp claws of a redcap" she smiled evily at the angel
Arielle sighed and followed after her, her pace brisk. She kept up easily and looked around, taking everything in with interest
A lone male figure walked alone through the dark trees, basking in the quiet darkness of the Dark Woods. The fireflies occasionally lit up with their familiar warm glow, only momentarily giving a quick and faint view of his dark hair and pale face, the bottom half of it obscured by a simple mask, matching the color of the surrounding darkness.
Ryne breathed in deeply as he carefully maneuvered over logs and through the many trees. As a demon, he naturally loved dark places. He usually spent most of his free time either resting or taking a nice stroll in places such as these. Although he preferred to be alone, he was accustomed to running into different people during his journeys, so in caution of hiding his identity, he decided to take a mask with him more often whenever he left his dwelling, despite the fact he usually reserved and wore them on duty.
