Vivian Vande Velde! I have heard of that author before! :) I read the Rumpelstiltskin Problem that she wrote! It is so good :) Didn't realize she had other books xD Stupid me! xD

To be honest I preferred 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini. I felt for the characters more and was more engrossed in the story, whereas with Kite Runner I just felt a bit disconnected from the protagonist. However the writing is superb in both books. :)
