Until I Find You Until I Find You question

Last Night at Twisted River?

I loved Twisted River - it's far better than Until I Find You. Irving has several masterpieces, and I would put this one right up there with Cider House Rules and Hotel New Hampshire. I liked that it had a few new threads on Irving's well-worn themes.

Mark Yes indeed, Twisted River was an excellent book and reinstated my fandom of Irvings writings.

Irving redeems himself with "Twisted River" after two seriously sub-par efforts in "Until I Find You" and "The Fourth Hand."

I find john irvings novels always span an entire life and focus on themes which can be difficult to identify with.

For me until i find you had some emotionally devastating parts which focused on the search for the father and that false memory of childhood that leads to the phrase you cant go home again.

I couldnt get into any of his novels after this one and found twisted river just ok.

I think its impossible to classify his books as good or bad. Their scope is immense and even within a single book you can split it into parts that you like or dislike
