Anna Kļaviņa (annamatsuyama) | 17 comments I like Karel Čapek's humour. Especially The Gardener's Year.

I recently read Nonsense Novels by Stephen Leacock. And it's available at
Gutenberg.

Richa (thinkingmalai) | 6 comments P. G. Wodehouse has his own style.
That said, Stephen Leacock is funny.
I recently read Family - The Ties that Bind...And Gag! by Erma Bombeck. She is a different kind of funny.
Oscar Wilde will be witty, not funny. But I have cracked up reading some of his wise cracks.
A Confederacy of Dunces is supposed to be funny. Haven't read it yet and the reviews are mixed.
The Color of Magic is also supposed to be funny (my to read), it is usually shelved with Douglas Adams of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: The Quandary Phase (which was wacko, don't know about funny...)

Louise Culmer | 3 comments three men In A boat by Jerome K. jerome is a book that i think might appeal to Wodehouse fans, funniest book ever i think.

The general danced at dawn by George macdonald Fraser is another one - absolutely hilarious.

Cold Comfort farm by Stella Gibbons, so funny.

Anthony Buckeridge's jennings books are wonderful, it was through them that i came to wodehouse by searching for other funny school stories.
