How do you decide what to read next? Book reviews or blogs? TBR Jar? Recommendations from friends or others? Spontaneous picks at the library or book store?

I usually just pick something that sounds good in a genre I am in the mood to read. Sometimes I just stand in front of my bookshelf or scroll through my Kindle until something jumps out at me.
I normally just pick whatever I've been dying to read, but since I have over 2,000 ebooks and a few physical books I decided to start using my TBR jar to pick two books from.
I start with a monthly TBR, usually get through about one or two of them then stray from the list. Usually I look at what others are reading and see if it interests me, or I start a series so that I don't really have to "choose" my next few picks because I will want to continue with the series and finish it haha.
I usually just pick whatever calls to my attention! Also something I'm really in the mood for.. Like right now I'm going through a huge new adult kick so I'm picking up books from that genre that call to my attention or ones people highly recommend! :)
Random picks in the bookstore really help me, especially if I'm in a bit of a slump. I usually do a TBR jar bc that for me helps make my decision a bit easier. There are times when I want to read something and I have no clue what I'm in the mood for. That's when I will scroll goodreads or one of my bookish blogster friends to see something they recommend. That's how I started Anna and the French kiss.
