Welcome Camillia! Glad to have you and this is a good first challenge.
Hey Redcaps! I'll be your mod mentor for this challenge, so you'll be seeing a lot of me! Let me know if you have any questions or issues that come up.I'm glad to see everyone is so excited to start! :D

Hey Amanda! Hooray mentor!
I'm sending messages to all the members of the earth element teams, so you should have your members checking in soon!
Hello Team! LET'S DO THIS THANG!
My dearest co-captains, i'm going to need lots of help. I've been doing a different schedule and it's killing me.
Other than that, welcome everyone =D
Lesley, I'm so bummed you aren't my co-captain! You guys are lucky to have her over here. We were on the same team for Wheelathon and she is great. Maybe we can team up to do a buddy read during the challenge instead.

Michelle, I'm bummed too!!!!!! Which team are you on? I haven't had a chance to look through all the other teams to see who's where!!!
Hey teammates - I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and am so excited to be a part of this. I joined the last Tower Teams about 1/2 way through and loved it so I'm happy to be part of a team from the get go. My schedule is a little crazy - I work as a para at our local elementary school and am not online during the day M-F and my 10 year old and my 12 year old sons both play ice hockey so between practices and games I am at the ice rink ALOT. Some have wifi, some don't so I'll be online as much as I can and will do as much co-captain stuff as needed.
:)

I'm on Witches of the Bayou. I can't wait to get started!
I'm online A LOT so I think we 3 co-captains can do a great job. I'm excited to be here with Eni as this is our 847698276 challenge together. Looking forward to getting to know new people and reading lots of books!
A little about me. I'm Stacie, I live in Maryland with my husband and our 4 cats. I work in counseling and I love to read. I'm on track to read about 450 this year and I've found some great ones in the past few weeks. I love randomly chatting with people and am pretty much online most of the time.
Looking forward to getting to know you all. I live in Finland, so definitely another time zone than those of you in the US. I work full-time, but manage to take a peek here every know and then during the work day and more regularly in the evenings and weekends. I'm on track for my yearly goal of reading 200 books.
This is the closest I could get to the top but here's a list of the shelves we have so far.Eni: tower-teams-3-fighting-redcaps

Guess I should say a bit about me. I'm located in Seattle, WA. Super into books and gaming and these two things fight constantly for my free time. I'm a bit of a slow reader, but I'm fairly active on Goodreads and I make a great cheerleader. I work in Customer Service as my paid job, but help run conventions as my unpaid job. I do a thing called GeekGirlCon and everyone should check it out (shameless plug ftw). This is my 3rd TT challenge....um....what else can I say about me....I guess that's it for now!
Stacie wrote: "I'm signing up for book of the month buddy read questions for extra points :)"The problem with me is to know when to stop joining buddy reads. I want to read ALL the books! lol
Between the BOMs and the buddy reads I've signed up for, I'm not sure I'll have time to sleep! ;)
Amanda wrote: "I want to read ALL the books!"I know the feeling! I took a break from Goodreads for convention season and have to keep telling myself...DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ALL THE THINGS! as I have my own catching up to do and challenge work and such. However, I find reading with a group so much more interesting because I always want to talk about the books!

I just got the Shadow of Mordor game. It's going to be difficult to resist it enough to get some reading done!
I've been looking at that game, but haven't touched it. I have two big game releases that I'm playing in November so we'll see how things go (WoW xpac and Civ Beyond Earth)

Jex wrote: "I've been looking at that game, but haven't touched it. I have two big game releases that I'm playing in November so we'll see how things go (WoW xpac and Civ Beyond Earth)"It's really good so far.
I haven't seen Civ Beyond Earth yet. It looks awesome. You'll have to tell me how you like it.
I used to play Civ 3 for hours whenever I got a chance, until I borrowed Civ V and realized what I was missing.

I actually didn't start playing until Civ V and hadn't realized what I had been missing all this time. Beyond Earth launches on the 11th. I'll let you know how it is :-)

I often wonder that myself.
oh...are we supposed to post our shelf? I feel like I missed an instruction page somewhere. Oh well. Here is mine: Fighting Redcaps
Jex wrote: "oh...are we supposed to post our shelf? I feel like I missed an instruction page somewhere. Oh well. Here is mine: Fighting Redcaps"Other teams are doing it so I'm just going with other teams are doing right now until we get some more guidance.

Welcome everyone =)Yes Stacie was right, we all need to make a shelf for the tower teams, and then post it here or send it over with a pm or something. Then, after the tower teams start, please put all of your books read in that shelf, and then me, Stacie or Leslie can take note of the books into the lovely spreadsheet the mods are giving us, and get lots of points! =D
Ways to make points:
-> Read any book you want. Any book over 100 pages will count. There are points per books. Different page numbers give different points.
-> BOM discussions. If we volunteer to do questions (1 person per team i think) and if we participate on the discussion. And this can be as many as we want =D so if you think you would like the books in the BOMs join in =D
-> Buddy Reads - if we do buddy reads with members of other teams OR members of NBRC that are not in the Tower Teams.
For those of you who have their profile as private, don't forget to add me as a friend please.
My shelf - tower-teams-3-fighting-redcaps
Think that's it for now =D
Ohh spreadsheet tracking. My favorite. Yes, I'm being serious. It was my favorite part of helping with cupcakes on a previous challenge.
I will be reading two of the BOM books, The Crossing Places and The Knife of Never Letting Go. I don't think I will volunteer to do questions, but will participate in the discussion.
Camilla wrote: "I will be reading two of the BOM books, The Crossing Places and The Knife of Never Letting Go. I don't think I will volunteer to do questions, but will participate in ..."I volunteered to do questions for TKONLG. I'm scared.
rofl don't be Stacie! and nice Camilla =D i need to check out which books are for BOM to see if i dare read any of them
