death note is not horror. Atleast I don't think so.
It is technically considered Horror, although it isn't 'scary'. Doesn't matter. Anime Club rejected Death Note. Apparantly, they watched it for a FULL SEMESTER 2-3 years ago. O_O

Those are not genres. And by 'my genre', I mean the one I researched. That being Horror. FMA is not Horror. And no, they are not idiots. Not a single one of them. They just don't want to watch a mainstream anime that EVERYONE ALREADY KNOWS ABOUT.
Ever heard of, say... Ikkitousen? Area 88? Disgaea? Revolutionary Girl Utena? THOSE are not Mainstream. Those are the kind we would watch. Well, maybe not Revolutionary Girl Utena... That is a bit too, well... It's Yuri. But still.

No. I (and all Anime Club Staff members) like GOOD Anime, not childish Anime. Mainstream is okay, but it's always better before it becomes Mainstream. ALWAYS. Not that I don't like any of those Anime I mentioned, but we don't want to show anything that everyone has already seen. The point of Anime Club isn't to show people's favorite Anime, it's to introduce new Anime, and let people expand their views on the subject. Last year, almost no new members joined. Why? Because Anime was advertised as "Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon" etc... Because no one understands.

Hey! Don't just tag all fangirls as crazy! I'm normal! And there is a Sci-fi Fantasy club at my school and 2/3 of the girls are just anime/manga fans...but I avoid them. They are only into Yaoi(which I love anyway), FMA, and DeathNote. I can only discuss yaoi and DeathNote so many times before I want to talk about shoujo crap with someone :(
I know that not all fangirls are crazy... But some of my best friends are crazy fangirls... Yeah, Death Note does get old. As for Yaoi, I will never speak of such things.
Yeah...Yaoi is more of a gay guy and girl sort of thing. But my gay guy friends love it too :D And crazy fangirls can be dangerous.

Bishies aren't 'amazing' to me, being a guy... And he doesn't watch yaoi, he reads it. Apparently, it 'increases literary skills'. He only reads it. Doesn't pay attention to pictures. Yeah. Sure.
