Dumplin' question

I chose this book because my middle school librarian recommended it to me and I had read some good reviews on it. I thought the book was very good and it had a very good message concerning body positivity. This book is about a teen named Willowdean who is overweight and who's mother in a pageant queen. Willowdean comes up with the remarkable idea that she should do the pageant to prove to everyone that big girls can do it too. I would recommend this book to Ms. Pierson because every English teacher I have asked has enjoyed this book. Not only is this book heartwarming, but it is very humorous and it is one of my favorite books so far.
