Jerrimiah Stonecastle, a New York transplant and former NYPD investigator, was born and raised in the slums of The Bronx. He was raised by a single mom who struggled to put him, and his three sisters, through private school while working as a NYC teacher; all while earning her Master’s Degree.

Jerrimiah did not share her drive for academic achievements, so after graduating from prestigious Power Memorial Academy, he dropped out of college in his freshman year and joined the army where he became a combat medic.

Upon his honorable discharge he returned to New York where he worked for the Chief Medical Examiner’s office as a medical stenographer. It was there he saw horrors that no words could adequately describe. He joined the NYPD where he witnessed more horrors, but also the love and dedication of those who want only to preserve life.

He discovered his love of writing at an early age. Many a young girl was the recipient of his romantic poems. During a poetry forum, sponsored by Lehman College, he wrote and recited a poem called, The Rose. He received a standing ovation and signed the release to the school’s publication. While working for NYPD he started a satire laced newsletter that wound up being circulated throughout the Detective Bureau.

After trying, and failing to a crime novel published the traditional way, he joined the Indie revolution and published the UC 630 Cop or Criminal crime series in 2013. In 2016, after publishing six books, he created Stonecastle Publications LLC. His first full length, adult fiction novel “FRANKENSTINA” was release on Halloween, 2019 and has been received with positive reviews.

A father of four, he makes his home now in south Florida, where he runs Stonecastle Publications with a virtual staff. His motto:

“Throwing Stones at a Glass House”

Frankenstina
by Jerrimiah Stonecastle (Goodreads Author) (Editor)
it was amazing 5.00 · Rating details · 1 rating · 0 reviews
From the day she was brought into this world she was hated. Her father hated her because she killed her mother during child birth. The other children hated her because of her hideous face and size. The teachers hated her because of her intelligence.

What happens to the mind when it is exposed to physical and mental abuse from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed? What happens when the town's people look at you as a freak of nature and whisper behind your back? What happens when the unspeakable happens to you, and you turn to your father for compassion, and you find none?

You become what they think you are.

You become...

THE MONSTER!

Jerrimiah Stonecastle (jerrimiahstonecastle) | 11 comments I'm honored to be the Meet the Author in the Month of October. How apropos 30 days before the launch of my sequel "Frankenstina Reborn".

I'm what you call a late bloomer. I've always had the passion for writing in me but life had a knack for getting in the way for 50 years! Now I'm moving ahead at full speed to make up for lost time (and to empty the 255 books in my head)

I'm so grateful to be living in the era of the Indie revolution and KDP. Without these two events I would still be one of the thousands of artist whose craft would never have been seen by anyone but themselves or their friends and family.

I hope you all continue to follow your passion and follow me on FB. I plan to do a promotion on the release of Frankenstina Reborn and it will announced there.

Frankenstina is the next name in horror and at Stonecastle Publications...

We're throwing stones at a glass house!

255 books in your head! Lucky you!
One question: What made you pick this genre?

I didn't intend for Frankenstina to be a horror. I started out with the intention of it being a crime drama with an anti-bullying theme. It then took on a mind of its own. I did love the old horror movies coming up though. Frankenstein, Dracula, The Blob. But I don't think I have the mindset to stay locked in one genre as my previous 11 books have demonstrated. Thank you for the question.
