Literary Fae Book Club discussion

We will stop reading at the chapter titled 'The Forbidden Infirmary'.

I'm still feeling iffy on this book. The whole story just feels weird to me but I'm hoping I might start liking it more?

Their entire marriage just feels so fake and I know its enemies to lovers and witch and witch hunter ohhhhhh forbidden. The reason of their marriage just feels so flimsy and not really solid basis.
I don't particularly like either Lou or Reid at this point and I don't feel like either of them are that well developed. I feel like I only know the surface of them.

I'm all about females not fitting into standard roles but Lou just kinda annoys me. :/ I do appreciate her buying pants instead of dresses though LOL

I do like Reid feeling strongly about this though and Lou being his wife and he won't take shit from anyone about it. That's admirable. Lou is his wife and he will do what he has to and protect her and not force himself on her or anything, respectable even if its not an arrangement he would've wanted.
