Do you think Melanie honestly believe Chris killed Emily, or do you think she wanted to blame him so she couldn’t blame herself for not noticing that Emily was suicidal?

I mean I'm not sure in the conversation but I do think that was a very good idea and that that was a big possibility.

I also feel she wanted Gus to feel some of the hurt she's feeling knowing she’ll never see her child again. It could maybe help explain why she tried to run down Chris with the car or deliberately plan for Chris to be charged and arrested on his 18th birthday when in the eyes of the law, he's now an adult and much of Gus's options to protect her son go null and void. I've heard many equate someone going to prison for life as that person's death. She was gung ho in looking for that to happen knowing full well what she read in Emily's diary.
