My best month within the last 4 months. Since I completed a series and now only have 1 group read per month, I look forward to more mood reading.

Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month? No. I don't think I ever will!
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
No I didn't, so that is a good thing!
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
I moved forward in To Die Series by Lisa Jackson

Both of my books this month were really good.
5. Overall summary of your reading month? I had a good month, I finished two books, which seems to be how many I can finish in a month. I have to remember that it is not how many books I read, but how much I enjoy the reading.

Fantastic, Melissa💜💜💜💜 Congrats and you have to feel great. I’m happy to see your 5 stars of City of Heavenly Fire. I'm on a road trip and got some serious listening time in yesterday.

Those vacations definitely get in the way of reading time, lol!

1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month? Caught up on two series although both have new books coming out in October.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Yes 3 - but I'm not continuing with any as they didn't really grab me.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes, 9 -
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I enjoyed most of my books this month but only one stood out as amazing and it was actually non-fiction:
5. Overall summary of your reading month? I read 16 books overall. I seem to be reading more lately.

1. I did not complete or get caught up in any series this month. 2. New series started that I will continue
New series I will not continue I read the first two of trilogy but basically one book
3. Did I move along in any series-
4. Standout books and 5 star reads- All the books above I loved plus
I re read 2 favorites to get me out of a book funk
New author for me I will read more.
5. Strange month for me even though I read 19 books I was in a funk. That author emailing me threw me for a loop and I didn’t feel like reading at all which is not normal for me. So to get back into it I did the re-reads which I usually don’t do and binged the two series I was into. Marked Men and The wallflowers.
I can imagine that email putting you in a funk. Nothing like visiting old friends though. Hopefully this month is better for you Laura.

Okay, you had a GREAT month, Lauren, but I want to highlight your having started three series and stopped there! That takes discipline to abandon the two-book rule. Congrats on everything💜

Laura, how are you doing now? Please, please, please don’t let one bad actor ruin your experience here. YOU did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG!!! Do not give away your power. She was so out of line and will never reach any measurable success because she’s wired wrong...she should be paying attention to her writing, not reviews. Most of the writers I admire have already spoken out on this issue and would NEVER even think about saying something like that (or anything) to a reader.
Shake her off, remove the book from your profile and FORGET HER NAME. You have the most incredible shelf and know that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE reading your posts!!! You’ve inflated my shelf and have excellent taste in romance titles. Your opinion matters to me, for whatever that‘s worth😏
Now, I never use all caps so take that as a reflection of how passionately I feel about what I said💜

...."Aww thanks for that, I needed that pep talk actually. Great idea to remove that from my shelf I shouldn’t have even added it to this post.
The last book I read took me 4 days (3 days longer then normal) to read so my funk continues. I’m not sure how to get out of it.
Pick a Colleen Hoover or Christina Lauren book AFTER you’ve dumped the book that forever shall NOT be named. We are here for fun!!! Go to it young woman🥰🥰🥰

Jonetta wrote: "Yes, it does."I’m leaving it then, I want it to live on amongst all the 5 stars.
Lisa Clark doesn’t ring a bell I will look her up. Funny you should mention that I almost went on the lounge yest asking for suggestions for romantic suspense. I want criminals , serial killer, thrillers not military.
Oh, then read her Southern Comfort series! I love it!!! There are three prequels she wrote after the first five books but I read them later.

(Rachel Caine sounds good too)
1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?Yes! I completed The Cronicles of Prydain

I finished a series and found 2 new ones, so a good month :D
I've realized I'm quite behind in my group reads and discussions... I'll get to them eventually! As always, thanks Jonetta for posting the discussion questions :)
Giulia, I’m so glad you’re sticking with Gaslight Mystery and are enjoying the series still. As you can see, we chime in whenever you’re ready. Congrats on a good month!

4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
Hands down, The Last Widow blew me away! Right now it’s my #1 book of the year in all aspects. I had another 5 star title, 29 Seconds that really surprised me. Two 4 1/2 star books that kept me riveted were Blind Spot & Seized.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
It was a great month in terms of quality of the books I read and my enjoyment level. My quantity was low (11) because I began two books in excess of 500 pages near the end of the month but I’m pretty happy with my month.

What that author did was unacceptable and the fact that she took away your enjoyment of reading for even one second makes her unworthy of calling herself an author!
