I have to say I can't pick just one - it's a tie between Dracula by Bram Stoker, 'Salem's Lot by Stephen King and The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.

I don't read very many horror books however one of the scariest books that I have read would have to be We Need To Talk About Kevin. It scares me to think of the evil that is in the world, and how it possibly starts at a young age. Although it scared me, it is one of my top ten favorite books.
