Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019 discussion

I was not able to finish any books this week! I really need to step it up!

I read 'Serpent & Dove' by Shelby Mahurin. I really liked this book. I'm a sucker for an 'enemies forced to spend time together' trope for romance (in this case a witch and a witch-hunter forced to marry); I blame it on my fanfic reading days. It was a pretty good read as far as the romance, and I liked the characters a lot. The world building was good but definitely lacking, I wanted to know more about the witches and how their powers worked in this world. There was a lot of potential that just wasn't realized. However this is the first in a series and I get the feeling we'll dive deeper into the fantastical world in the next books.
