I like The 49 Steps - it's all over the place it was written very quickly and it reads that way BUT it's not long winded, it's first person, it's fast paced and exciting with a real feel for the Scottish countryside.
Actually it's 39 steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Harlan, for the invitation to your reading group. I've accepted, but I'm not a reader of Asian fiction. I'm just a good ole gal in Washington state, USA, who reads paranormal romances, and science fiction, and follows the political news here in the US. Thank you for the invite, however. :)
What a story! A great book. Kipling at his best. Wonderful movie, too. Sean Connery and Michael Caine were masterful. Production values, fantastic.
