Valentina (valentina26) | 7 comments @Erin, interracial dark read or any dark romance? How do you characterize dark?

message 3: by Erin (new)

Erin (queene116) | 30 comments I prefer a black heroine... and dark... like super alpha male, consent sometimes questionable, why am I reading this, why am I turned on reading this, questioning if something might be wrong with me for loving this type of dark...

I agree, Erin! I've read a few books that have completely made me question my morals...and I absolutely LOVED the book. I definitely had to have a "come to Jesus" moment after reading them.

Valentina (valentina26) | 7 comments @Erin, Lol no worries. I'm similar.

Dub-con, alpha male, dark and BWWM:
Adam & Eve: A Tale of Obsession by Shantel Davis
In too Deep by Yvonne Bennett

Dub-con, seriously alpha male, BWWM, by some considered dark:
Norien: The Bight Series Book One by Ferona Brown
Whatever He Wants by Eve Vaughn
Obsessed by Eve Vaughn
Ruthless Russian Series (four books) by Theodora Taylor like Her Russian Billionaire

Others good ones I've read are more dub-con and less, for my tastes, truly dark. My measure of dark might be deeper than yours.

If you're looking for pitch black dark, I haven't found any with a black heroine, and have read many.

Erin (queene116) | 30 comments Have you read Monster by Francette Phal... it is probably the darkest I’ve read

My His For A Week serial (AMBW) often gets categorized as dark, probably because of the sex content. You're welcome to try out the serial starter for free: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/35qs8hcw7s

LOL, Stormy! I ventured into the dark side a while back and still have questions. But it's too much fun not to go back!

Yes I have. I’ve read almost all her books. It is not the darkest I’ve read.

Check out my bookshelf labeled dark or PM me. Warning there are varying depths of dark.

Erin (queene116) | 30 comments I read the Bight series... loved it... the others you suggested I have read... do you read non interracial stuff too? Natasha Knight has some good stuff too but the women aren’t POC.

I read anything good, especially if it's dark. Yes, I read non-interracial stuff too. I've only read two books by Natasha Knight. If you like mafia and dark, try Shanora Williams' Venom series.

Great books, as well as the whole Twisted Minds series. Perfect was dark with a psychological component; Twisted Minds was gritty dark.

Erin (queene116) | 30 comments I have read twisted minds... it got a bit much for me by the third book. I will have to check out perfect.

Valentina (valentina26) | 7 comments Eve Vaughn is probably the most prolific author of IR dark romance.

Erin (queene116) | 30 comments Yea I have read some of her work

Roce | 5 comments Delusive by Courtney Lane. Its an IR, I think it fits the dark criteria.
