October 12th, 2019: The Pandemic Strikes America

It was sudden and unexpected. The disease hit the United States like a storm, killing millions of people all over the country. In just a few hours, what were typical cities had been turned into savage ruins. Instead of dead bodies littering the streets, dead people were roaming them, targeting any animal, man, woman, or child with a heartbeat.

Those who worked in the cities were infected first through airborne illness floating through the ventilation systems in their workspaces between the dates of October 10th and 11th. By the night of October 12th, anyone who had been exposed to the illness had completely Changed, ravaging the cities to feed.

Eventually, the American military took control, taking over the government and setting up quarantine zones.

QUARANTINE ZONES:

As a result of the pandemic, the American military built quarantine zones throughout major cities within the US. All of the encampments are martially controlled zones with strict laws and curfews. To get a bundle of basic goods, such as food, water, extra clothes, and soap, one must have a specific number of ration cards that can be traded in for these supplies. People can receive ration cards through their work, or in the case of smugglers, through trade.

Each zone has a total of five provinces, in which province one, houses the most promising, wealthy people, while Province Five, is home to the poorer inhabitants who have no use to the government besides being laborers.

It took four days for it to fall.
Now those refugees are scouring the country trying to find solace.
