Kim (mygalfriday) I fell in love with Renoir at the Portland museum! I was giddy at the sight of Thomas Cole, Fredrick Edwin Church and Durand. I enjoyed Picasso’s hen (France) commentary. What museum and piece touched you?

Dirk Van | 4730 comments Well I have never been to the States, but visited the Louvre, the Tate, het Rijksmuseum, the Ufizi and many more (in my hometown Antwerp ;-)
But the one museum that had a lasting impression was The Musee d'Orsay!

The Musee d'Orsay is awesome, it used to be an old train station, but it’s now a beautiful museum dedicated to impressionism.

They have besides a lot of van Gogh no less than 81 paintings of Renoir, including Bal au moulin de la Galette, Montmartre, The Bathers, Dance in the City, Dance in the Country, Frédéric Bazille at his Easel, Girls at the Piano, The Swing...

Heather | 8547 comments I haven’t been to too terribly many museums in my lifetime, unfortunately. I hope to visit many more. But I also really enjoyed the Musee d’Orsay when I saw it. I got to see some of Camille Claudel’s art which I loved. I liked the Rodin museum, I’ve seen several different ones but I mean the main one in his home in Paris. That is awesome.
And the Uffizi gallery is pretty incredible, too. Florence itself is amazing!
Great topic, Kim!
