Halle♥ | 13 comments So has anyone read this book yet? My mom is reading it as apart of Oprah's book club and she's liking it a lot. She wants me to read it. I'd love to know your take on it. =]

P.S. Glad to be back posting on the Daily Diary....I've missed it so... =]

Amanda (randymandy) Ugh, I hate people named Natalie, and I hate that this thread hasn't already found its way to Haters Club oblivion!

Definitely...I've been away for a while..I miss it as well. I heard the discussion on xm radio--oprah channel..sounds like a fascinating helpful book.

Cheryl S. | 11 comments I'm almost finished. I've read it as a textbook and have gained some interesting insights. I don't know if it will "change my life", but it does have me thinking about certain things in a different way. I haven't participated in Oprah's classes perferring to read and think things through for myself. Once I'm completely done I may have a look at the on line discussions just to see how my interpretation stacks up with what was said. I feel it's a worthwhile read whether you're looking for a spiritual awakening or not--because it makes you think and then.....perhaps think less, and listen more.

Reads with Scotch I do... there is this super uber hottie named Natalie portman... MEOW! Talk bad about my baby and I'll hunt you down Amanda!

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) Is this the same Natalie Portman that's very pretty, but needs to gain about 20 pounds before you could realistically call her emaciated?

message 8: by Erin (new)

Erin uhhhh yeah

Reads with Scotch No... Apparently you have not seen closer. she has some cellulite hanging around the trunk region.. makes her look more, eh, girl next doorish.

message 10: by Erin (new)

Erin thanks for the image

message 11: by Amanda (last edited Aug 14, 2008 10:39PM) (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Sarah, not that I want to share in a public forum. And it's not Natalie's fault I hate her and all people named Natalie. In fact the name itself used to be among my top ten favorite girls' names of all time (and potential future name of potential future daughter)...

I do like that Portman woman. Enough. As of about 30 seconds ago, I decided to call her Emily Portman from now on.

message 12: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Nick, most of the time you say shit that makes me want to hunt YOU down. I ain't skeered.

Cellulite hanging around the trunk region? Oh please...

message 13: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) (What the hell was going through my head that made me post message 3 originally? Probably booze...)

Reads with Scotch really? I was just saying, she is a real person, not some socal socialite.

message 15: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) A real person with real sharp knees. She needs a sammich.

message 16: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) Oh, dear Bob. I read Fark WAY too much.

message 17: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Yeah, I didn't connect the dots on that one, Nick. Sorry... I'll do my very best to do better on translating your posts from now on, ok?

*hands Nick beer*
Cheers!

Reads with Scotch ::Shrugs and walks around examining Amanda's "trunk":::

Nothing to be sorry about, You look real too. }:-D

Reads with Scotch MMMM Newcastle? Or are we drinking Milwaukee's best

message 20: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) grrrrreat. I'm glad I bought a case and not just a six pack...

message 21: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Newcastle, baby. We roll togetha on that one! I don't like no stinkin' beast.

message 22: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) I've never known an Ari that was not absolutely batshit crazy. I am very leery about them after being burned so many times by so many different Aris.

Reads with Scotch Well, I will never trust a "Katie/Catherine" particularly when red hair is involved *(natural red; completely mad, crazy insane) But I don't see how any of this has to do with Ms. Portman?

message 24: by Nessiebear (new)

Nessiebear At this point (to your dismay, I'm sure) it has little if nothing to do with Natalie Portman. And as for the name ruining by association, I hate Whitneys.

Reads with Scotch An I hate burnt seinna... you goofy orenge brown bastards!

Jackie "the Librarian" I would like to point out that the word is SIENNA. Not seinna.

Seinna, I have no idea if that is how you truly spell your name, or if you have a typo. I hope for the first.

message 27: by Tom (new)

Tom Foolery (tomfoolery) It's ok though. We can talk about what a scrawny, emaciated, skeletal freak Natalie Portman is in other threads.

message 28: by Nessiebear (last edited Aug 20, 2008 10:24PM) (new)

Nessiebear Ah Nick, its burnt sienna, I before E. My name is spelled E before I, unlike the horribly ugly color of burnt sienna.

And now I realize there is another page and click to read it, someone corrected Nick before I could. And Jackie, it is Seinna. Not a typo, just wasnt named right. Or my dear Mother wasnt educated enough, I'm not sure.

message 29: by Starlight (new)

Starlight natalie portman is a good actress. alot better than some like lindsey (or is it lindsay? i think with the "say" at the end...). i wish i could look like her...well...the last time i saw a pic was a couple of years ago so at least she's not a skank or something...

message 30: by Amanda (new)
