This thread is for the participants' lists of the Meet & Greet Challenge! It will be closed until picking is open.

All discussion, chat, questions, and answers for this challenge are to occur in the other thread: here

19 November 6PM US EST - SIGN-UPS closed date! Please allow at least 3 hours for the groups to be posted. Sorry, no latecomers due to the massiveness of the picking!
27 November - PICKING due date! Picks for all group members must be completed.
1 December - Start READING!

RULES/TIPS:


* You must not recommend new books.
* You ONLY select from the pickee's nominated shelf.
* You must nominate 3 books for each set of picks.
* Book nominations and selections do not need to be in any order.
* You can add/subtract books at any time during the sign-up and picking process. (If a book has already been recommended during the picks, this recommendation stands valid.)
* If you recommend a book from a series, please ensure that it is the next book for the reader in that series.
* If a book from a series is recommended but it is not the next book for the reader in that series, please feel free to substitute the appropriate book for that recommendation.
* You may put re-reads on your nominated picking shelf if desired. (This means the book may already be 'read' and rated - but if it is on that shelf, these books are fair game for the pickers.)
* You must have completed the picking for your group members by the picking due date.
* You may use books planned for other challenges in this challenge and vice-versa unless otherwise specified in the alternate challenge(s).
* There is NO minimum page number requirement in this challenge.
* Books may be from any romance sub-genre, but we are a romance group so please keep your books on your nominated shelf to the romance or popular fiction genres.
* Remember - if your profile is private, you will need to 'friend' the other group members as they will not be able to access your nominated picking shelf otherwise.
* Feel free to 'friend' all the members of the group, as this will make picking much easier and faster :)
* A member can ask for repicks from another member if they have already selected all three of the nominated books. For this reason, it is important that members move books off their nominated picking shelf as soon as they have made their selection.
* When providing feedback in the Discussion Thread, please ensure that key plot points are hidden behind the spoiler 'tag' - <'spoiler>blah plot point blah<'/spoiler> (ignoring the apostrophes which have been inserted to show the formula :)

Completed Books/Recommendations
Ivan - recommended by Donna/Ezi - lots of people have been raving about this author and i'll admit to being worried, but I was pleasantly surprised - I gave it 3.5 stars because I wants a bit more, it was too quick of a read (only about 125ish pgs - amazon says between 99 and 150 depending on version) - but i'm intrigued enough that I want to continue the series

Snow Falling on Bluegrass - Ezi - ahhh, after a DNF for my last book, Molly Harper was an excellent taste in my mouth - I laughed so hard in places. It was just what I needed.

Fury - Larissa/Amie/Raine - I've heard about this series for a while so when I saw the first book during an audible sale, I grabbed it. like others have pointed out, very similar to the Breeds series (Lora Leigh), but I like this one better - the world building was more complete early on. Although there was redundancy in places. I gave 3.5, but rounded up to 4. And already bought the second book

Pelican Point - Donna - hit my small town likey button and I loved the whole woman who restores lighthouses as a career - i'm looking forward to seeing where the series goes in the future.

Must Love Otters - Skandia - i've put off reading this book for a while because i was scared it wouldn't live up to the hype, but it was the perfect read this evening - i got sucked into the story; Hollie reminded me of me, always getting into scrapes and i loved the romance between the 2 main characters - i'm calling this a new sub-genre - resort romance

Captured in Surrender - Raine/MacWolfe(Elise) - I liked this entry in the series, but it was too short - it was too steamy and not enough plot - the ending was just kind of wham/bam/thank you ma'am - 3 stars

Wild Child - Raine/Tina - I didn't mind this one, but didn't love it either - it kind of reminded me of a small town version Bella Andre - the characters didn't seem to be that well developed and lots of superficial descriptions - I just wanted more - 3 stars

Death Cache - MacWolfe(Elise) - I know a lot of people rave about this author - but honestly, this had one of my main issues with ROMSUS - the on the run from a sadistic killer and random boinking in the woods - it just irks me, plus I don't think the story was that well developed - I picked up on the who did it early on, but never really felt the why, even after it was revealed

Destination Wedding - Zara/Kai - I read this while stuck at the car mechanic this am - reminded me of The Wedding Planner movie with J-Lo, but with a mistaken identity twist - it was good, but i didn't love - I gave it 3 stars overall

Bound by Night - Kai/Skandia - it was weird reading a Larissa Ione that didn't have her demons in it - that being said, I liked her take on the vampires and that it wasn't an insta-lust story, but more of an enemies to lovers type - i've already requested the second book in the series from the library and hope she continues it

The Sum of All Kisses - Debbie/Ezi/R-wka - while this wasn't my favorite book in quartet (sarah irked me a bit) - I liked seeing the guy who got injured in the duel get his HEA, since he was crippled and may not have normally - will be interested in seeing how she finishes up the quartet, since the duel was a major arc in the first 3 books - 3.5 stars

Wed at Leisure - Cristal - short read, but enjoyable - a historical retelling of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew - i'd read the previous one last year about the little sister (Biana) and was glad to see Kat get her HEA - although I do wish that it was slightly longer (I wanted more - which is always a good things right?)

DNF Books
Lord of the Wolfyn - Joyce - after struggling for a week with this (and its a short Harlequin book) i'm DNF'ing and as a result, also removing the last book in the series from my shelf (since they are all intertwined) - Lord of the Abyss

Romeo, Romeo - Amie/Kai - I just don't know what to say - I had high hopes, but ugh - a woman who doesn't know who the highly touted (within the Italian community) Bachelor of the Year is (when she is in a lively Italian family) - and the writing just didn't work for me
