The publishing contract included production and distribution of four formats of my novel: paperback (376 pages), e-Book (Kindle/Nook/Tablet), audio book on CD and audio download.

For the audio format, I was required to create an abridgement of the print version (111,000 words), not to exceed 85,000 words so that the audio book would not exceed 8 hours listening time.

The publisher provided samples of previous works of three professional narrators (2 males and one female). I was permitted to choose one to narrate Levels.

When ready, a download of the tentative audio book was sent to me. I listened and pointed out errors and areas that I felt could be improved upon. It took two weeks to complete the approved final version. Production began and both the compact disc and download formats were distributed by Ingram/Spring Arbor, the same distributors of the paperback and e-Book formats.
