Mason woke up with a jolt as the train came to another stop. Groaning softly he rubbed the back of his head as he forced himself to return to reality instead of the nice blankness of nothing that was sleep. Tiredly his eyes strayed to the sign above that told them where they'd just stopped. Reading the words Mason rolled his eyes before getting up to his feet. Swiftly he yanked his luggage out from the compartment above him, getting a dirty look from the old lady across from him. Doing his best to ignore her he rolled out his bag before continuing down the aisle. It was just then that the driver decided to continue and he almost fell flat on his face. "Wait." He gasped. His words fell on dead ears. Walking a few more feet forwards he said it again. "This is my stop." Mason told the elderly man who drove the train. He nodded his head before opening the door. Relief flooded through him as he exited the train. Once he was off he looked around curiously before yanking the note from his pocket. To get to Zahara Academy he needed to find the white steam train. There was barely anyone here, much less a train.
Her forehead was pressed against the window shield of a specific glass window of a building at the train station. She wasn't particularly sure what she was doing here, nor really what the purpose of it all was. All she knew was that Jake was going to be meeting her at some place called Zahara. And that was all that she really wanted. A broad grin slid onto the girl's pink lips as she gazed around her surroundings. The trains were pulling in and out by the minute, but it hardly seemed to anyone was getting on them. It felt like a ghost town, but none of it bothered her. She didn't need people around her to feel comfortable and she definitely didn't need to be alone, either. Her hands enclosed tightly around her suit case, picking up another duffel bag in her left hand as she turned her head around. Juliet needed to board yet another train before she arrived at her destination, but it was quite hard to find. She had been trying to see through the glass of one of the buildings, searching for some attendant to help her, but she couldn't find anyone in the booths. Pursing her lips, she turned away from the booth and continued down the alley.
After having stopped a few people for questions Mason was getting no where with answers. A White Steam Train? had been the repeated answer each time. No one had ever heard, nor seen such a thing, especially in this rundown part of Britain. Some people even dared to give him a look that made him feel like he was crazy... maybe he was? No, it had to be here. Letting out an exasperated sigh he fell to one of the abandoned benches in an alleyway, burying his face in his hands. Nothing ever seemed to work for him, and now maybe this Zahara Academy was another trick. Another silly trick. There was no starting over for him. He'd have to return to the UK and pretend there was nothing wrong. Pretend he hadn't been fooled so easily for the hopes of a new beginning. Eventually he pulled himself out from his dark cloud of misery. Brushing aside the hair that hung in front of his face he heard more then saw the girl as she came rolling down with her suitcase. "Excuse me miss." He said with his usual polite manner, though she didn't appear to be any older than him. "Have you ever heard of the White Steam Train, does it come by these parts?" Mason asked, his eyes holding a pleading gleam. He seemed to, almost, be placing all his hope in her and her answer.
Her hand was loosely grasped around the plastic handle of her suit case, walking in a leisure manner down the alley ways in between the stations and the dozens of trains that surrounded the few people that were there. She couldn't imagine why the place felt so hollow and empty, but brushed it aside as a means of it being a day where everyone just wanted to stay in. As good as that sounded, she was far more excited to see Jake. Only two more hours and she could be in his arms. Mum told her that she wouldn't be missing Jake for much longer. And she knew that it meant that Jake just had to be there! He was coming to surprise her or something. "He's such a good boyfriend." Juliet murmured to herself, nodding her head slightly. Her fingers twitched on the handle of her suitcase, gripping it a bit more tighter as she heard an abrupt voice come from her side. A bit startled, she stepped back and held her bags closely to her chest. She felt that she would be betraying Jake in every way by talking to another male. He always was upset that she gave attention to males other than himself and told her that she shouldn't talk to them anymore. So, she didn't. "The White Steam Train...I'm going to be on that train." She muttered, a bit of a secluded and detached expression filled her features before she recognized the fact that he was actually speaking to her. "I'm not sure." She paused, shrugging her shoulders. "But, I think it's on that side of the station." She pointed to a section completely void if people.
(view spoiler)Mason was awfully good at reading people. It was both in the way she gripped her suitcase and looked a him warily that he could tell she was a rather timid creature. He wondered if he came off as strange, but he was most assured he hadn't. Just the way she spoke to him made him think he was unworthy, and had him convinced no one would ever treat him as an equal ever again. The once happy and optimistic Mason mind as well be lost to the world. Standing he made sure to maintain some distance between them as he straightened out his suitcase. His interest was caught by the fact she'd mentioned having to take the same train. "Zahara Academy?" It was probably too much to insinuate that she was going to the same place. But... She seemed troubled, and didn't the Academy offer a new start for everyone? Yes, it was wrong to over assume, yet he always had a knack for these type of things. Guided by her direction he set off towards the opposite side of the station giving her a small grin to show he could be human when given the chance.
((I know right!! I'm pretty sure there was talk of that on tumblr on Thursday that there could have been a halfway point for Bonnie and them to meet.))Her hand lazily returned to its position by her side as she tilted her head to the left. Her eyes scrutinized the boy before her as she was used to, but did not mean it in a hateful or insulting manner. It was more of a precaution she took when she met new people. She had been dong the same activity with everyone she met for a very long time, so, she guessed that it just meant routine was something good for her. She knew that routine was good for her. Her mother had been specifically trying to get Juliet back into old routines. There were ones, she had noticed, that had been popular in her house from back before she had met Jake. She thought nothing of it though. She merely told her mother her thoughts and all she was given was a tight smile and then a change of conversation. She wasn't a naive girl. No, she was from far from naive. It was just that...her mind was always elsewhere now and she wasn't able to think properly anymore. All she could think was what would Jake think or do in her situation. Or what he would think or do if she did something that he didn't ultimately favor. "Zahara...yes, Mum said to go there." She nodded her head, looking up at the boy as she recognized the one title. "An academy? Why am I going to an academy?" She questioned the boy as if he had the answers.
((YES. Lol if you want. I'd type up my reply now but I'm on my kindle and I cringe to think of all the spelling errors that would follow.))
((Cool with me! She's going to be a bit oblivious to him for a long time. ^-^ And I totally understand. I had to use my Nook for roleplaying for about two years and would be typing up terrible replies through the night. But...now I can't even write a sentence on there without completely jacking the words up.))
