Adramelech led Logan down the hall, taking the flames from her skin as they neared he door for the dining hall. With a wave of his hand the flames disappeared, only leaving a small amount of smoke behind. It was warm enough and bright enough inside. He pushed open the door and held it for her, his red eyes travelling across the room as he smiled at her "here we are"
"Thank you." Logan whispered and walked through the door, her eyes scanning the room they walked into, the shadows jumping and playing over the walls when the light of the moon hit the room. She bit her lip lightly and her gaze ran over the table, happy that they were the only ones in the room and therefore didn't have to deal with anyone else.
Adramelech led her to a chair and pulled it out so she could sit down facing the window. "I enjoy spending time here. The view is beautiful" he said, gazing out the window over the land, taking in the lights and the way the moon lit up areas of water. if he had to choose, Adramelech knew he would choose Hell over Earth, but he would choose Wonderland over everything. He enjoyed the power he had held in hell and he missed it sometimes, but Wonderland was much better. Even if it was making him a bit... soft hearted
"It is." She agreed in a breathless tone, her eyes wide as she took in the night in wonderland. It was beautiful and ever so untouched. Logan wondered often what the earth must have been like before the disaster of the human race. When it comes to mortals and what they do, the cons always out weigh the pros.
Adramelech sat beside her. "There used to be more farm land. It was taken over by the war. The farmers had to move inland" He said, waving down a servant. "When the humans that want to destroy this place are gone it will return to normal. Alice wouldn't have wanted this." He said with a slight frown "Mind you she wouldn't have wanted the red kingdom in existence either I think." He said with a shrug. He could play a good game about caring about the kingdoms, as a demon he was a very good actor, but he could care less. "What would you like to eat?"
"I have no idea. All this food is foreign to me." She murmured and looked over the different types of dishes on the list. Logan had looked up when he mentioned the human girl Alice, many had thought she went crazy when she went home. But when others discovered Wonderland they released her to do what she wanted.
Adramelech leaned over and pointed to an option "That ones pretty good" he said with a smile, lifting his gaze to the nervous looking servant. Adramelech remembered that servant. He had pissed Adramelech off at one point and the scar was still on his throat from nearly being killed. Adramelech met the servants eyes, his own eyes flashing in a warning to act normal, waiting for the servant to nod back. After he received the nod, Adramelech dropped his gaze back to the menu, pointing out another dish "That one is my favourite"
"Then I'll take your word for it." She smiled and folded away the leather menu and sat straight in the decorative wooden chairs. Logan looked out the window, her eyes still taking in the world that was wonderland. So absorbed in her views she didn't notice the exchange between the servant and Adramelech.
Adramelech smiled at her and looked at the servant "Two of number five please" She said, handing the menus back and returning his attention to the view. "So what did you do when you lived on earth?" he asked
"Uhhh... I didn't really do anything." She flushed, "Wait, in what way?" She asked and fiddled with her fingers, tilting her head and looking at him curiously. He always liked asking questions about her.
"For entertainment. What were your hobbies?" Adramelech asked, studying her, his eyes fading to a bit of a more normal colour. He chastised himself for not thinking to hide his true eye colour earlier. He could have passed as a wizard. He blinked again and his eyes were brown and white, much like a humans. It was an easy trick he had learned when he first became a demon and he didn't use it at all when he was in wonderland. He prefered that people feared him.
"Drawing, Walking and Archery." She smiled and thought about it happily before looking into his eyes. Startled at the change she leaned forward and looked into his dark brown eyes, she lifted a finger put didn't move it. Logan blinked, she blinked again, "Why have they changed?" She whispered softly and looked up at him.
Adramelech chuckled and leaned back in his chair. "I can use some of my magic to change certain small features. I was trapped on earth by a human for twenty years. I had to find a way to survive normally. This was one way to do that. It kept hunters off my back." Adramelech said smoothly, which was partially the truth. When he wasn't destroying towns he was passing as a human and collecting souls and living somewhat normally with his eyes disguised.
"Oh." She said and nodded her head, "Why'd you change?" She asked quietly and bites her lip, looking at him softly and pressing she hands together before resting them on the table. Logan thought back to their earlier conversation, she hoped he didn't feel like he had to. Even if the warm brown eyes were beautiful.
Adramelech shrugged "I find my usual eyes intimidate and scare humans." He said, studying the landscape. "i don't want to scare you" he said, letting out a short laugh. "I probably should have thought of this earlier." he said. Especially, he thought since emotions are easier to fake like this
"Maybe." She nodded her head and rubbed her chin, resting her head in her soft hands. "What do you do in your free time?" She asked curiously, he already knew a lot about her, might as well get to know the person who's giving you a place to stay.
Adramelech shrugged. "When I'm not training for work I'm reading. Collecting.. debt from contracts." he said, lacing his fingers together and resting his chin on them, studying her. "I'm a very boring person" he said, looking behind her as the servant brought out their food
"Deals and contracts?" She asked, her head tilted to the side as intrigue lit up her face. Logan glanced at the servant, "Thank you." She smiled and looked down at the dish, it looked lovely. She hoped it tasted as good as it looked.
Adramelech nodded at the servant and took his dish, picking up his fork. "Work as a demon is a lot like a human business man. Lots of deals and contracts involved. The currency isn't always money with us" he said with a shrug, taking a bite of his food and looking back at her, his brown eyes warm.
"Oh yeah?" She murmured and took a bite out of the food, she almost groaned with satisfaction as the tastes played her tongue. "You were so right, this is amazing." She smiled and looked up at him, her eyes catching his.
"Yeah" Adramelech said before laughing. "I told you. I would never lie about amazing food sweet heart" he said, taking another bite of his own food and savouring the food as he watched her. "Do you read much?"
"All the time." She smiled and looked up at him, "Why do you ask?" Logan inquired her head tilted to the side when she took another bite of the rich and wonderful tasting food, magazines had to hold back the groan.
Adramelech chuckled "I was going to lend you some books by authors in Wonderland. They are quite... unusual. They're very good, a lot better than the ones on earth in my opinion" he said, playing with his food a bit. "Even the human authors here are better than their earthly brothers and sisters"
"Mmmmmm..." She hummed and smiled, "I'd like that." She admitted, "And who doesn't like a little unusual in a book. It makes them different." Logan said in her own opinion, she took a couple more pieces of her meal.
Adramelech smiled, a genuine smile, and studied her, taking another bite of his food, waiting until he had swallowed a few moments later before speaking again. "Exactly. Not many people think like that" he said, brushing hair out of his face
"I know, people need to take a few more risks in life. It only happens once." She said and looked at him with a small smile playing at her lips, she had taken the biggest risk of her life coming here.
Adramelech grinned wide. It was weird, he hadn't smiled like that for... well.. never. Not genuinely anyways. "Exactly" he said, looking back at his food and taking another bite, reminding himself that he was only acting like this to get something out of her.
Logan looked at the look that passed over his face. The normal sterness evaporating into a carefree, genuine smile. It looked good on him. She blushed at her thoughts and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, "Yeah." Was all she said.((I've gotta go to sleep! See you! :P))
((ttyl!))
Adramelech chuckled at her blush and finished off his food, leaning back. "Would you like anything to drink?" he asked, waving down the servant
Adramelech chuckled at her blush and finished off his food, leaning back. "Would you like anything to drink?" he asked, waving down the servant
"Do you water?" She asked and peered up at him again, the flush still staining her cheeks when she looked at him and shifted in her seat.
Adramelech nodded. "Of course my darling" he said, telling the servant to bring a water and a vodka. He turned back to her and studied her, smiling slightly at the flush in her cheeks. "Are you embarrassed by something?" he asked, tilting his head.
"No." She said quickly but that only made her cheeks burn hotter, she could be so silly sometimes. Logan smiled at him, "I guess I'm eating more so I'm not so pale?" She lied but knew he could see through it anyway.
Adramelech chuckled. "You aren't a very good liar." he said, brushing some hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear. "Why're you blushing so much?" he asked curiously
"I don't know." She said in a soft voice, her body stiffened a little when his hand reached out to touch her. Logan let out a quiet breath and looked down at her water, she lifted it up and took a sip.
Adramelech dropped his hand and took a sip of his drink, turning his gaze away "How're you feeling?" he asked, sounding a bit distracted as he watched the lights of wonderland
Logan looked back up at him once she placed her glass of water down, "I'm feeling fine thank you, what about you?" She smiled, feeling a little amused at the question.
"I am well" Adramelech said, waving down the servant and ordering something quietly before looking back at the lights. "Where did you live on earth?" He asked, looking back at her again
"I lived most my life in London and Edinburgh. Mostly in London." She smiled, "Have you ever been?" Logan inquired, her head tilted to the side with a sigh.sigj
Adramelech looked over at her with a smile "I lived there for a few years" he said studying her, his brown eyes soft. "It's quite nice there, very beautiful"
"Mmmmm... I can never tell if I like London or not." She said and traced her fingers over the table, her eyes meeting his. Logan smiled softly, her blue eyes gentle.
"Why not?" Adramelech asked, smiling back at her as the servant returned with cake and ice cream. Adramelech nodded at the servant and took a piece of cake off with the fork, popping it into his mouth and waiting for her answer
Logan looked at the cake with a wide smile, "This looks nice." She murmured, her fork sinking into the cake and ice cream. "And I don't know, I always preceded Edinburgh, more peaceful, the bustling streets and business in London didn't give you a chance to be care free." Logan said honestly.
"London is much calmer at night. A lot more beautiful as well." Adramelech said, taking another bite and looking outside again. "Wonderland is the same. Things are nicer when everyone is asleep."
"Mhmmm... Yet London is full of nightlife. There is always something going on during the night, always people on the streets." Logan smiled, her eyes clouding as she fell into her daydream of life in England.
Adramelech nodded, scooping up some ice cream. "It was very interesting" he said. "Some humans in London discovered what I was and they wanted me to grant all of their wishes... get rid of their enemies. They were a very greedy bunch those ones" he said with a small smile as he thought back. He had collected a lot of souls while in London.
"Yeah, well not everyone is a good person. You find more of them in big cities. They corrupt you easier." She said softly and shakes her head with a soft sigh, Logan smiled and continued to eat her lovely food.
Adramelech chuckled. "That they do" he said, not mentioning that he was the one doing the corrupting. Manipulating people until they gave him what he wanted, or he had convinced them they wanted something they absolutely hated in return for their soul. "Are you enjoying the food?" he asked, looking back over wonderland.
"Very much so. It's wonderful." She smiled and finished her meal, she put the cutlery down and took a slow sip of water. "You are nice to let me stay with you, why would you ask a stranger to stay?" She asked him curiously.
Adramelech glanced at her. "I was lost and alone in wonderland once. The streets are not a nice place to stay. Now there is a war and it is much worse." he said, finishing his food before finishing his drink. "And the street is not a place for a lady to stay under any circumstance"

The Red Dining Hall is a magnificent and spooky room. In the center of the room is a long cherrywood dining table, and on either side of it are hand made chairs. A fine crimson cloth is laid on the table, and on the table are silver plates, forks, spoons and knives. On the the left wall are big windows, giving off a beautiful view of Wonderland.
