December 2014 Group Read Suggestions
This one looks interesting. It's by Christopher Moore, author of Practical Demonkeeping and Bloodsucking Fiends:
The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror
Comedy and horror in one succinct package. What's not to like? :)
December Park by Ronald Malfi
Gotta admit it's a great title for reading next month. Sounds like a good creepy coming-of-age story.

One of the more creative ways to tell people to behave that I've seen.
Author J.F. Gonzalez has lost his battle with cancer, and I think perhaps this month's read could be dedicated to his memory.
Here is his author page, where you can find his books.

It's set right before Christmas also."Can't find this one on Amazon.

is pretty darn Christmasy!"NOS4A2 is a most excellent choice!! Some Joe Hill Christmas? Yes, indeed!!!! I already have the book checked out, waiting for the right moment to dive into it. This would be a great novel for December.

Oh no!!! I hate to hear these things.
I searched for it and all I found was a couple of used hardbacks for $87.00 I guess it's out of print.

I was kind of bummed the group read in October didn't have anything to do with Halloween; it would be nice to make amends with a December read that at least has something to do with the season...
I picked up a copy not long ago that has been remaindered at B&N, might still be available at a discountd price.
Let's try this.....two Group Reads this month.
One dedicated to J.F. Gonzalez, for those who wish to participate.
And the other will run the way they usually do....

After reading the comments here, I totally cosign the idea of a J. F. Gonzalez book coupled with NOS4A2. I haven't read any Gonzalez nor have I read NOS4A2, and I think a dedication to Gonzalez and the Christmas theme here is perfect!

I'd be willing to participate in both.
I have December Park by Malfi on my shelves (and already read NOS4A2), so I'll second that one.

I like it. ;)
Me too. I would have liked to read Secrets, but it's not available. I've never read anything by him either, so that's why I'm picking up this one, and then I'll start whatever is picked.

Diplomat of the year. Good call, man.

Sounds great! I've never read J.F. Gonzalez before, so that would be a great opportunity as well.
I love the idea of the two monthly reads. And this months two are going really well! :)I've been wanting to read NOS4A2, and was waiting for December! I haven't read any Gonzalez but I would like to.

Same here Kirstin, about NOS4A2. :)
I'm definitely liking the idea of the two group reads gives more choice I just finished joe hills the horns. Really really enjoyed it I honestly think his style is amazing!
I hate to admit that I haven't read NOS4A2 yet either so that works for meI also love Christopher Moore but have not yet read The Stupidest Angel
Actually, I may have to wait on NOS4A2 if I don't hear back from the interview I went on Monday. :-/ a $10 ebook is beyond my budget at the moment.

Joe Hill's stuff goes on sale fairly often. Also, NOS4A2 is available from my library as an ebook, so that might be worth looking into as well. And good luck with the interview!
I read NOS4A2 Last year in December and it was my favorite read all year so I'm excited to hear what you guys think (if it's chosen). Also I'm for the suggestion of Revival.
