Jenna | 7 comments Hi there, trying to find a book name and author:
the book is about a disease or curse that was unleaded when a group of archeologist opened a tomb and found stuff about dog people. Once person was infected they would turn into a dog like creature full of rage (like rabies and would run on all fours) and try bite people and turn them as well.

I have some of the characters: Amy the archeologist student, and Air Marshal, a guy who taught self defense (or form).

The cover had a vicious dog with egyptian headdress on. Fictional book, probably horror genre, for adults readers.

If anyone could tell me the name of the book would be wonderful

Jenna, is this book for children, young adults, or older adults?
Is it historical (when?) or contemporary?

Amy makes me think of Amelia Peabody in Elizabeth Peters's historical mystery series, but I don't know if that fits with the rest of your description.

Cynthia | 186 comments when you say dog-like creatures are you referring to something like Anubis?

Jenna | 7 comments It's definitely a book for adults, its a fictional book. I think its more like rabies type.

This archaeologist and his student team, the one was named Amy. They flew to Egypt and they opened up a tomb and it made reference to dog people, they thought it was like figure of speech but turns out it was literal. When people got infected its spread by saliva (Bite)

This kind of disease/Curse seemed like almost like rabies/rage, as they eventually ran on all four like a dog, that's probably what they referring to.

In the beginning of the story Amy's partner(fiance/boyfriend)was on a plane that was hi-jacked and there was an air marshal and turns out he is/was Interpol.

One of the characters early in the story teaches self-defense to women at his studio apartment

Part of the story later at the wedding the sister got infected but no one knew and she ended up killing her new husband.

Later they eventually get held up at a library or something and the military is trying to keep these things back that are attacking in force

Jenna | 7 comments I think the title was something like wrath of Ra or rage. the cover has a dog snarling with its teeth open about to bite and it has a pharaoh headdress on. (It's not the Anubis though)
