Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019 discussion

For the week of Oct. 13-19.

This week I did much better! I finished 'Kingdom of Ash' by Sarah J. Maas, finally! This book is huge. I read it last year the first time in a week, but this time it took me much longer. It's honestly one of my favorite books, the author is amazing. She is such a good writer, I mean I end up crying through most of this book (both happy and sad tears).

I also finished 'Clockwork Princess' by Cassandra Clare, which is also the end of the infernal devices. This book was also probably my favorite of this trilogy, as I was not very into the first two, but this one relates more to the Mortal Instrument series so it was more interesting and intriguing to me.

I read 3 books, although 2 were picture books for our storytimes at work.

The first was 'The Wall in the Middle of the Book' by Jon Agee. A cute book that illustrates the "grass is greener" for kids. It would honestly be a great book for a conversation to introduce kids to current political topics (the wall/border) if one wanted.

I also read 'Cowhide-and-Seek' by Sheri Dillard, Jess Pauwels which was cute.

The adult book I read was 'The Invited' by Jennifer McMahon for our Library's book club. It was interesting but not the greatest. It's a mystery/ghost story that was slow-moving. The ending saved the book overall for me but still left things open-ended.
