Birgitte Bach | 19 comments Books read in january:

1. Melina Marchetta - Jellicoe Road.
Loved this book. Very cahtcing story.
2. Deanna Raybourne - City of Jasmine
The narrather of the audiobook, really ruined this book for me.
3. John Green - Papertowns.
Nice book, but didn´t meet my expectations.
4. Liz Kessler - Has anyone seen Jessica Jenkins?
This book unfortunately wasen´t for me at all. I expected magic and wimsical. It didn´t even come close.
5. Matthew Quick - Forgive me Leonrad Peacock.
I had big touble connecting to the protagonist and I did not like the writtingstyle at all.
6. Dodie Smith - I Capture the Castle.
Loved the first half of this book. Then I just lost interest.

Birgitte Bach | 19 comments Books read up til now in february:

7. Coutney Summers - Cracked up to be.
Very nice story, but it had something missing in the plotline.
8. Paula Stokes - The Art of Lainey.
Sweet an entertaining story.
9. Kasie West - On the Fence.
10. Kasie West - The Distance between us.
Loved both of Kasie West´s romance books. She write very likeable caracters.
11. Simone Elkeles - Rules of Attraction.
12. Simone Elkeles - Perfect Chemistry.
These two books wasen´t for me. I thought the protagonists diffrences where to exaggerated.
13. Kristin Walker - A Match made in High School
Sweet, different and surprising story.

Yes! 14 books! So fare I´m killing it :)

Oh both Papertowns and Forgive Me Leonard Peacock are on my TBR. How did you like them?

message 8: by Birgitte (new)

Birgitte Bach | 19 comments "Papertowns" was an okay book. Although I was a bit disapointed, but maybe my expectations were too high after reading and liking "TFIOS" so much . Unfortunately I couldn´t relate to "Leonard Peacock" at all, and I really didn´t like the writing style. But it was still an interesting read.

I do apologise for my written English. It´s a bit rusty.

message 9: by Leslie (new)

Leslie No apologies needed! Thanks for the feedback. I have them both as audiobooks, which can sometimes help make YA books better than their writing so I won't discard Leonard Peacock without a try but won't be disappointed if it is not for me.

Birgitte Bach | 19 comments An audiobook can really put a different spin to a book when done in the right way. I´m a huge fan of audiobooks.

message 11: by Sam (new)

Sam (aramsamsam) ...the only thing that makes ironing bearable! I must say though that I get much less involved with the characters when I only have the audiobook.

Yes, I have noticed that too. I think it is because I don't give it 100% of my attention as I do with print.

Birgitte Bach | 19 comments I often lose focus if there´s to many names and caracters to keep track of. And a good narrator is so importent.
I would recomend you both to try Andy Weir´s "The Martian" on audio if you haven´t already. It is phenomenal. Best audiobook Í´ve ever listend to!
