Hi all,
At least I know a few of us here are very active in reading. I believe that book reading is a very effective way to learn and grow. As the more I read, the more I experience the great things about reading, through positive changes from within me.

What do you think if we try to come up with some regular meetups among us to have chance to share, discuss about those great books we read, the positive thoughts we learned through reading?

Let me know...
Thanks,
VH

Ha Truong (truonghatsts) | 7 comments Why not, it must be the great idea.

Actually the most fascinating thing I can distill from MMT is that we have a chance to sit together, read books and share thoughts.

We need a few more core members to organize it and have enough attractive topics, format to invite people to join :)...

Or we can organize it into tracks... I certainly can run some tracks like: Living positive or Positive thinking, Buddhism and how to apply it in real life, Meditation, Personal Development, Leadership Development. While others can run tracks like Software Design, Software Architecture, Agile, ...

My thought is that if we want to organize sessions for book sharing, we better organize it into topic to have the focus. And it may help the audiences to pick to right session to join.

Ha Truong (truonghatsts) | 7 comments Can we invite non-KMS bookaholics? They can spice up our group.

Ha Truong (truonghatsts) | 7 comments Something like Knowledge Must be Shared, just kidding :)

Actually its our company name, we've gathered bookworms in the company and friends outside to read together, and share thoughts.

Can we start with some thing like... What are the top 5 books about software architecture and design that you would recommend to others? And why? We can do round table sharing and people can know the insight from each of us.
In fact, that's just a suggestion to start. Please throw in other suggestions and we can pick one to start the first meetup for book sharing...

:) What do you think? I'm fine doing it online. Yet, meeting face-to-face is more effective, I would say. A coffee place, and us talking...
