Welcome!
Glad I'm able to help! I tried to keep it to books I've already read, heard lots about, or have a copy so that i can buddy read with you.
Hitchhikers. Read the first three for sure and definitely try to listen to the BBC radio plays. I've got all of them on CD and absolutely love them.Howl's Moving Castle has been on my radar for a while. I might be up for doing a buddy read on that when/if you get to it.
Books mentioned in this topic
Howl's Moving Castle (other topics)Storm Front (other topics)
Saga, Vol. 1 (other topics)
Green Rider (other topics)
Magic Bites (other topics)

Claus: Legend of the Fat Man - same but only 1 copy
Nevernight - heard lots of good things
Bayou Moon - quite a bit darker than book 1 but still good
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - its Adams. Its amazing.
All Systems Red - it's amazballs and the current spot in the series is not a cliffy
Clean Sweep - of course!
Magic Bites - what is this insanity??! No IA??
Storm Front - So. I have never finished this series. It is very popular - most of my friends LOVE. I feel the MC is a bit of an ass: he makes decisions for women based on HIS IDEA of keeping them safe. I have heard it gets better but you have to get through book 3 and i haven't
Saga, Vol. 1 - its weird
Green Rider - possible buddy read?
Howl's Moving Castle - insanely adorable
Control Point - buddy read?
Wool - started the SPA revolution. I've heard good things but he can be an ass
