I've been in a horrific reading slump. Fiction hasn't been working for me at all since I've only been picking up a book for a few minutes every now and again. Nonfiction is better for dipping in and out of like that for me. Although I started it before the readathon started, I read Horror Isn't a 4-Letter Word by Matthew Warner. It's only 170 pages, but it took me over a week (closer to two) to read it. 🙄 I've also started Shock Value: How a Few Eccentric Outsiders Gave Us Nightmares, Conquered Hollywood, and Invented Modern Horror by Jason Zinoman. I'm only in chapter 2 though, so I know I won't finish it by the end of the readathon unless something drastically changes. Both fit books with orange on the cover. I'm sorry I wasn't more participatory. I was hoping to be out of this slump by the time the readathon started, but it's just not letting go for whatever reason.
I'm reading Rebel and I'm loving it!! I'm not having a lot of time to read outside of school, but I'm getting there. It's living up the Legend standard I was hoping for. I don't know how Marie Lu does it! I went as a U of M football player (we're about to kick MSU's butt in the game, but that's beyond the point). 😁
