luisa I love our group and I really enjoy talking to all of you! :) but we’re all pretty silent and barely chat with each other outside of discussions on the book of the month so maybe we could improve on that and update each other on what we’re reading or doing whenever we feel like it!

ALANA Oh wow there are 36 members. I feel like maybe they are casual goodreads users. Those that log in only ever so often, but who knows, that sucks, maybe their shy lol. Maybe we should all introduce ourselves, where we are from and list our favorite romance book of all time 👋❤️🥰. A way to get to know everybody. Book clubs can be super fun, a way to destress from this crazy life.

ALANA My favorite is it “It ends with Us” by Colleen Hoover. What was your favorite thing about “Melt for You”

message 4: by luisa (new)

luisa I love the idea to share our favorite romance books :) mine is probably The Deal by Elle Kennedy because it has all the tropes I love in a romance - slow burn, friends to lovers and fake dating!

luisa Yes, I love the Briar U series! I still need to read the newest one! Have you read the books? :)

ALANA With it ends with us. I just felt like it was the type of story that sticks with you. Sometimes I read things and if you were to ask me about it 3 months later I would have forgot. It ends with us, was unforgettable.

@ Luisa I always admired readers who like slow burn novels. I get so impatient. I’ve DNF a lot of books because of the slow burn.

ALANA What books would you recommend with the “fake dating” trope?

message 8: by luisa (new)

luisa Both The Deal and The Risk by Elle Kennedy have fake dating and I also love the fake relationship in To All The Boys I’ve Loved before but that book is Young Adult so with teenagers... other than that I can’t really think of many, sadly :D
