There was so much evidence against him that it was hard to think he was innocent. I thought maybe he was involved somehow.
At the very beginning, I thought maybe someone had manipulated the evidence. I liked how the author decided to create a double threat in this story.
I really didn't think he was innocent at the beginning. I think part of it was hoping that an innocent man hadn't been in prison that long.
I thought he must have been guilty. I really wanted him to be guilty. After all, he didn't put up any defense and I can't believe it took 40 years for him to "remember" his buddy with the same unusual tattoo.

When DNA evidence was produced, I had to admit he must have been innocent; imagine how many men have been wrongly prosecuted in the past.
