So there are a couple more mistborn stories in the unbound collection that are pretty short. One is the eleventh metal. Should we read This month these as well.? They are only 20-25 pages each.
I found this post of mine in the archived Alloy of Law thread from August.*"The Hope of Elantris" (2007), short story in Elantris series
*"The Emperor's Soul" (2012), novella in Elantris series (April 2020 Buddy Read)
*"The Eleventh Metal" (2011), originally released as part of the Mistborn Adventure Game
*"Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania" (2014), Episodes 28 through 30 originally released as part of the Alloy of Law extension to the Mistborn Adventure Game
*"Mistborn: Secret History" (2016), a short novel originally published as an e-book
*"White Sand," an excerpt of the graphic novel originally published in 2016 and a previously unpublished opening section of the corresponding book
*"Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell" (2013), a novella originally published in 2013 in the Dangerous Women anthology
**Sixth of the Dusk (2014), a novellette originally published in the Shadows Beneath anthology
*"Edgedancer" (2017), a novella referred to as Stormlight Archive 2.5 (July 2020 Buddy Read)

I read Elantris first because the Hope of Elantris short story was written later.
Besides Secret History, Eleventh Metal and Allomancer Jak are the only other Mistborn-related novellas. If Scott and Ilona want to read and discuss them, I will read them, too.
So are we reading this story from the Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere collection. Maybe the secret history is available elsewhere that doesn’t have the other Mistborn stories?
@ScottIf you have the Arcanum Unbounded, you'll also have Empire of the Soul and Edgedancer for next year. It's up to you.
@Ilona and Scott (once you've finished Secret History)
I have a question about something the author mentions at the end.
(view spoiler)
I just have Secret History as a single ebook, but I'll try to get my hands on a copy of Arcanum Unbounded.@oshizu (view spoiler)
@IlonaHow nice that you can talk about the Mistborn series at work! :D
Here's more on that question of the Wax & Wayne trilogy + Kelsier.

Ok I finished the 11th metal. It was okay but written more as an introduction to the series so not really exciting if you have already finished the series.
Scott wrote: "Ok I finished the 11th metal. It was okay but written more as an introduction to the series so not really exciting if you have already finished the series."Thank you for sharing you impressions of 11th Metal.
Based on your opinion, I'll be skipping it. :D
The other short mistborn story in the collection before the secret history is more geared towards people that have already the series. I enjoyed it more than the first. It's called something the adventures of allomancer jak. Both stories are only about 25 pages each. Anyways on to read the secret history.
The secret history is taking awhile because I keep referring back to the other mistborn books. Here is a question in a spoiler (view spoiler)
Finished and now I have strong desire to reread the mistborn and the Sanderson books. I guess the book answered some questions but probably created more.
Scott wrote: "Finished and now I have strong desire to reread the mistborn and the Sanderson books. I guess the book answered some questions but probably created more."Lol!
Do you live in the US, Scott? I was just browsing Amazon.com and saw the Kindle editions of The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, and Oathbreaker on sale for $2.99 each.
I wish I had waited to buy my copies now.
I just read The Eleventh Metal and Allomancer Jak. I found the first one a bit boring, but the second one was okay.

Knowing that it's so much shorter than the other books in the series, however, makes it hard for me to stay focused, haha.
