This book is a critical time for Wendy because she is trying to figure out where she belongs, who she is, and what her future looks like in Forening. I think the talk with Elora in chapter 20 is a huge turning point for her (and for the future of the Trylle). It starts to define how she sees herself and how she sees the role of the Queen. I love this chapter. What do you think?

“See? I told you Princess.” Loki’s smile returned more easily. “You and I aren’t all that different.”
“You say that like it means something.”
“Doesn’t it?”

“Wendy!” Loki leaned down the hall, so far it made him grimace in pain. “If you’re right, and the next time we see each other is when our kingdoms are at war, you and I never will be. I’ll never fight you. That I can promise you.”
