NANOVISION / What Would You Do With X-ray Vision? by Paul T. Harry
Genre: YA Science fiction / Fantasy

Available in MOBI and PDF formats

Synopsis:

Daniel Raye was only sixteen when he walked in on a mob hit against his father. Brutally beaten and left for dead, Daniel awakens in a hospital to find himself blind and with no memory of the hit. Placed in the FBI’s witness protection program, Daniel is relocated to Northern California where he’s given residence with a long, lost Aunt who runs a bio-tech firm called NanoBytes. Over time, Daniel rebuilds his life and adapts well to his newfound family, but as fate would have it, comes under the scrutiny of the mob once again–but not before his Aunt finds a cure for his blindness. Using a radical untested procedure incorporating robotic nanites spliced with the DNA from animals and insects, Daniel is injected with a serum that only a mad scientist could create.

Does it work?

Better than anyone imagined.

What would you do with x-ray vision?

Len | 28 comments Currently, I have begun reviewing Tannin by Wayne Elsner. It should be done in a week.

On the blog front, I've sent one to the Chicago Tribune about how Americans are at their best when they feel young and new. The Millennials, I wrote, will become the "Interstellar Generation" with confirmation of the first Second Earth. I ended with William Wordsworth's dream "Bilss it was in that dawn to be alive, but to be young was very heaven".

It was fun to write.

Hi Samantha!

My name's Violet and I recently self-published my YA, Post-Apocalyptic story "Survivors: Secrets", and am desperately looking for honest reviewers. It's currently free on Amazon and will be for the next four days. I've posted a link and description below:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011...

Lacey Young is a survivor. So is her sister, her best friend, and all the other young adults they share a hotel with now that the world has ended.

Lacey Young is a leader. That’s why when the lives of her crew and the people she loves become endangered, she must go against the odds and fight to take back what is theirs.

However, with secrets and betrayal as common as the grains of sand that smother the landscape, what once appeared to be a big problem threatens to become a tragedy. Blood is spilled, friendships are tested, and all the while the lurking threat that’s responsible for sending the world into chaos is closer than they all think.

Lacey has a secret. A secret she’s been repressing and hiding from those closest to her. It’s a secret that she knows can help save her friends and bring back some small semblance of peace.

But at what cost?

I hope you find the time to read it :) Hopefully hear from you soon!

Violet x

Kylen (kylengartland) | 7 comments Hi Samantha!

I'm looking for review for my new children/young adult novel. It debuted a little less than a month ago. This is an animal adventure coming-of-age novel meant to be enjoyed by readers who loved Erin Hunter, Kathryn Lasky or David Clement-Davies.

The Messenger by Kylen Gartland Ameliora is a young gray wolf struggling with a disturbing recurring nightmare. In this terrible dream, she is pursued by a beast with horrible fangs who kills her each night just as she awakes from her horror. She tries to cope with the troubling scenes but is not completely able to hide it from her fellow pack mates. Most of them offer support, but some think she is just trying to avoid her duties.

During a hunt, a beloved motherly figure entertains the group by retelling an ancient myth of a dark-hearted wolf who bonds with the spirit of chaos and corruption to create a half-mortal that terrorizes the wolf world. In response, a pure-of-heart she-wolf bonds with the spirit of peace and unity to battle the evil beast.

Haunted by this story and how it might relate to her own nightmares, Ameliora slowly begins to discover her true character—and even her true purpose. As a prophecy comes to light, Ameliora feels the pull to venture out to answer an inner calling—and comes face-to-face with her destiny.

Filled with mystery, intrigue, and heroism, The Messenger is a rousing adventure from the opening page to the last.

I can provide a digital copy immediately!

Hanna Peach (hannapeach) | 1 comments YA Fantasy/Adventure with a love story...

Hi Sam,
The final instalment of the Dark Angel series came out 30 June and I'm looking for some more reviews for the series (complimentary copies provided, of course). Let me know if it appeals.

Angelfire (Dark Angel, #1) by Hanna Peach Angelstone (Dark Angel, #2) by Hanna Peach Angelsong (Dark Angel, #3) by Hanna Peach Angelblood (Dark Angel, #4) by Hanna Peach Angeldust (Dark Angel, #5) by Hanna Peach

Forget everything you know about angels…

You’ll likely find Alyxandria slicing demons with her blades rather than plucking at harp strings. Whether it's with weapons, unarmed or with the “borrowed magics” of distilled angel-blood tattoos, she trains harder than any other Seraphim warrior to prove she is nothing like her parents who abandoned her to become Rogues.

When Alyx starts displaying the signs of a strange new magic, most don’t believe her and no one has answers for her. She starts to investigate for herself. The web of lies she uncovers will shatter her world and she’ll be forced to risk everything for Israel, a mortal she barely knows. Who is Israel? Why do the demons want him?

Alyx and Israel will soon realize that their destinies are inexplicably tied - and that their choices will determine the fate of Earth itself.

It begins in Angelfire.

I can use some reviews for On Parson's Creek. It's YA/Mystery for ages 16+ Here's the Amazon link: http://www.amazon.com/Parsons-Creek-R...

It is about what lies right outside Jack Taylor's new porch, the odd new community he's been moved into and the strange ancient logger whose chainsaw keeps firing up through the trees. Set in the Oregon Cascades in 1967, if you wonder about whether the stories you've heard about Bigfoot are true, this may or may not answer any of your questions... but it is a wild ride. PM me to get a copy in either Kindle or ePub formats.
