I read these books when I was in highschool and they hadn't been finished yet then reread them when i was older to finish it up and I think Brandon Sanderson did a great job. These are amazing books and a great story.
when i read this story before, i had already read about half of the series, or course that about the time it was published. it will be interesting to see how it will be to read it in chronological order.oh Lan...i had forgot the they fought the Aiel.
yes he is. this gives a great history of the events that occurred before Eye.here in a second, I'm going to try to list all the characters that are mentioned in this book, so that we can tie them together in the series as we go. so many names have been mentioned already that i fell to loop together from later on in the series. especially those of the black ajah.
ok so i realize now that the list of names are great. lol if you PM me your email, i can send it to you as an attachment .
I'm at the part right after they became Ajahs. They were being fitted for dresses. I should get more listened to tonight at work. Hope to be finished by Monday for sure. How about you?I will send that list tomorrow at latest since I am off work then.
there are so many name drops of people that appear later on in the series. it definitely feels different reading it at the beginning rather than half way through the series, when it was originally released.i'm now mindful of the similarities between things that happened to Moraine and Suane and later to Elayne and Egwene. i'm sure I didn't spell any of thise names correctly. LOL
true.when Eye of the World begins all three of the boys and Egwene are all 17. she can now braid her hair in the traditions of Edmonds Field. and the boys are old enough to start courting their future bride. for Rand that was to be Egwene. Suian is a young Amyrlin but further in the series you will see that there will be a even younger one still. Suian and Moraine were not accepted for as long as many because they had the gifts at a younger age and were strong in the one power.
and you will soon be reminded that Elayne, Egwene, and Nynaeve were so gifted that they were not really novices.
well i think they were in their mid 20's in this book right? that would make them in their late 30? lolyea that is young.
we did just get to see how that damn oath rod slows things down. i liked it better when they did away with the thing. haha
ya! i see where it is needed with certain people but such a hindrance too. i think that the later books show great examples of both. i am so glad that we are doing this.
i have always loved the part at the beginning where Tam and Rand are on the road walking to Two Rivers. it doesn't start to move along till the trollocs came. then there's more action to follow.
I'm about mid way. This is the book where Matt got on my nerves. It's funny how Perrin thinks Rand is better than girls when Rands thinks the same of Perrin. We know that Matt becomes the ladies man.
How are you doing on this one? Im at the part where they are in the ways. Chapter 45 I think. There is so much in this one that I forgot all about.
I just finished this. I am so glad I re read it because there were several details I had forgotten near the end..
