Scott Edward R. Hamilton currently has some collections of the Jules de Grandin stories at deep discount:

Dan | 1580 comments Wow! Those are hardcover, not just eBooks. If I hadn't spent so much recently on three Howard Wandrei collections....

Scott Even though it will add a chunk to my to-read shelf, I couldn't resist.

Bobby Dee | 26 comments I've got a bit of an essay on Quinn and Robert E. Howard, for whomever is interested: http://onanunderwood5.blogspot.com/20...

Scott Interesting--glad I have lots of naked girl torture to look forward to!

Scott I got my shipment from Hamilton and the books all look brand new. Got about $150 worth of books for around $40, can't beat that!

Dan | 1580 comments That's great! Can you answer a question for me? A lot of the original stories came with illustrations. Are these included in the book? "Satan's Stepson," for example, from the September 1931 issue of Weird Tales, had this one on the second page of the story: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTale.... I'd really like to read these stories WITH the illustrations.

P.S. Has anyone here ever considered naming their future son Seabury?

Scott These collections are not illustrated. They do have quite nice covers by Donato Giancola, though.

I am thinking of changing my name to Seabury.

Dan | 1580 comments I think I want to be buried at sea.

Scott Can you bury someone in water?

message 11: by Dan (new)

Dan | 1580 comments Sure! Any of three ways: https://personalfinance.costhelper.co...

That's a really impressive piece, very well researched. I was particularly interested in the little it had to say about Roads, our Yuletide group read next month.
