Jessica (regendanser) | 6 comments I loved The Broken Eye and can't wait for The Blood Mirror. Unfortunately though, it won't be published untill 2016.

So what to read in the meantime?
What books would you recommend to ease that book hangover The Broken Eye caused?

For example: I myself started reading the Kingkiller Chronicles (Name of the Wind & Wise Man's Fear) by Patrick Rothfuss. Those were very good, but unfortunately that series is still waiting for it's last book as well.

So: what to read?

Beverly (bevarc) | 16 comments These are some of my favorite series.
My #1 favorite series is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher and after that I like these a lot...

Peter Brett's, The Demon Cycle series ...

Anthony Ryan's, A Raven's Shadow Series

Brandon Sanderson's, The Stormlight Archive series; Mistborn series; the book Warbreaker which he offers as a free PDF download on his website; game based digital book series Infinity Blade ...

Brent Weeks', The Night Angel Trilogy ...

Michael Sullivan's completed, Riyrea Chronicles/Riyrea Revelations ...

David Dalglish's, Shadowdance series 5th book recently released ...

Mark Lawrence's, Prince of Fools 1st book in The Red Queen's War series. (His The Broken Empire series was too dark for me to like, but I loved Prince of Fools.) ...

If you have a reader try Jonathan Moeller's
digital series, THE GHOSTS, DEMONSOULED, FROSTBORN, THE TOWER OF ENDLESS WORLDS, and THE THIRD SOUL. All of the 1st books in each series are free!

Archimedes Grimm | 1 comments I really appreciate your suggestions, thank you Beverly. As Jim Butcher is tied as one of my favourite authors, and because I think Brandon Sanderson is a genius (have you read "the emperor's soul" by him? It was available as a free e-book on Amazon and is one of my favourites) I shall be giving some of your other suggestions a closer look. Other authors you may like are Max Frei -the labyrinth of echo series; Benedict Jacka -the Alex Versus series; Scott Lynch -the Gentlemen Bastards Sequence; and Douglas Hulick -tales of the kind series. Happy reading all!
