Luke Warren has always loved wolves more than people. He lived with them, ate with them, existed with them. Eventually that drove away his wife, Georgie, and his son, Ed. Only his teenage daughter Cara stuck by him. Then one day Luke is in a terrible car accident that plunges him in a coma, and it falls to Ed, who hasn't seen or spoken to his family in six years, and Cara to decide whether to unplug him and let him die or not.

As always, Jodi Picoult tugs at the heartstrings. This book was so layered, there were secrets and relationships to discover everywhere. And I don't know how much of what she wrote about wolves is true scientific fact and how much is fiction, but if it's true, wolves are really amazing animals!
