I started it last night and am around page 50, including the prelude. Chapters are long, divided by years, starting with 1941. More talk about FDR, Pearl Harbor and the war theatre in Europe so far, but also some good information on Clark Griffith. It’s early yet, but I hope this isn’t the ratio for war talk vs baseball talk throughout the book.
I have a book somewhere on the Negro Leagues mostly in the 1930`s & the Grays & Griffith. They were a great teamMike Linn
I`ll lookMike Linn
Having a problem finding it because it wasn`t just about them & I can`t remember what book it`s all in, but I`ll keep trying
Beyond the Shadow of the Senators by Snyder is an excellent book on the history of Black baseball in Washington
