??? What are you talking about? Can't you see it is the same cover cropped? This is absurd and some librarians are getting crazy with rules. Seriously.

And by the way, this is the ONLY edition in Spanish. You can check ISBN official website.

I don't think that this angled cover is better than the one currently listed.

You can see it's exactly the same cover I sent first. Now you have a source that tells you that's the correct cover for this book and matches ISBN so please use the first cover I sent.

I'll let someone else take over this discussion.

I looked on Abebooks and there's a cover but it is blurry. You can scan or take a picture of your own cover and add it to your profile pictures where we can get it. You can also look on this list of acceptable sources and search.

If you would like to talk to someone about librarians not applying the rules as you see them, then you have to contact Support (link in message 7). No one in this group can apply or interpret the rules differently.

If you're accepting the current cover is right, I'm only sending the same image so I can't understand why you don't accept it even when posting several valid sources. I could have just created a new book but instead I try to do things properly. So yeah, just uploaded the first image I posted here to my profile and now you can take it. Please.

Yes, the problem is that you just uploaded the image from the first link to your profile, which we cannot use because it doesn't have an ISBN listed.

Instead, Emily asked you to make a scan or take a photo of your own cover (if you have this edition in your possession).

It is policy to only use covers if we can ascertain it is the same edition. The ISBN is not mentioned in the first link, so we cannot ascertain it is the same edition.

You may find that ludicrous, but it's the policy. Take it or leave it.

The current cover (the one that was uploaded before I started this thread) is the same I'm trying to send. I'm only sending it in better quality, because the "approved" one its just a photo, not even a scan.

A valid source that shows the cover I'm trying to send for hours is exactly THE SAME.

I've done what you asked for and you still not updating the cover. I assume you simply don't want to do it.

Goodreads Librarians are volunteers, and some requests may take some time to get a reply. If a day or two have gone by with no reply, it's fine to bump your request up by responding to your own thread.

Is the latest picture you uploaded a photo of *your* physical book? Or is it another image from a website?

Look, I'm tired of this. Do what you consider better. I've uploaded a lot ot books and always tried to help the Community. In fact most of you have approved my requests many times and I can just say thank you for that. I've been librarian as well and know very well this is a voluntary work but sadly some people take it in a bad way.

On Goodreads, maintaining Librarian status is dependent on following our policies. Which includes only using cover images from certain sources. Goodreads Librarians who fail to follow our policies tend to find that they do not remain Goodreads Librarians.

Which is why the Goodreads Librarians in this thread who have been attempting to help are asking for the source of your images.

I was trying to help. You will get help more easily by contacting Support if you have a problem with how the librarians are applying the rules. People are more likely to ignore your request if you are rude or insulting.

Which still does not say what the source of the image is. Is it a photo or scan you created using a book in your possession, or did you download the image from a website and then upload it here?

The thing is, different editions can have the same cover. As we have said before, we can only use cover images if we are sure they belong to the same edition. Therefore, the image without ISBN cannot be used, because it may belong to a different edition.

As I also mentioned ISBN database (listed by Goodreads as a valid source) where you can check this is the only edition published in Spain. So there is no risk of making a mistake.

By the way there is no way to send a picture of my own book showing the cover and the ISBN at the same time so I could cheat and spread evil all over Goodreads.

And you have also failed to mention that you added a duplicate when we didn't respond quickly enough to your liking (even though you knew that is not the proper way to do things), thereby creating a lot of extra work.

Someone uploaded a cover but it was not the one you provided, so I reverted that and added the one from message 45.
