Clean,Non Religious-Reads discussion

My young teenage son is looking for some Nortic Saga, Viking type books. (anything Iceland is great too) Obviously we would like them clean and he probably would like them to not be overly romantic.

Check out www.dragonsfireseries.com. These new adult fiction books are Celtic historical fantasy, rather than Viking/Nordic, but they are very popular with teens. They are being included in the English curriculum at a Junior High school near me, because they're flying in and out of the library and making the kids want to read! They do have a thread of romance running through them, but romance is not the focal point of the stories. They are clean, suitable for ages 13+.
