I'm always on the lookout for new, never before, published authors. I love to help out a newbie and maybe find a new favorite. Any suggestions, fellow readers?

If you like historicals, a new-ish author I really enjoyed is Jennifer McQuiston. I really liked Lori Austin as well.A really new new author I tried and liked was Elle Daniels's debut He's No Prince Charming.
Thanks, Mary. I will look later and come up with some suggestions. I have to go somewhere in just a few minutes.
Good choices!... How new does an author have to be? First book out this year? Or has a few books under her belt? If you like romantic suspense, try Lena Diaz's Deadly Games series, but the first one came out in 2011. (Disclaimer I know the author, but don't let that stop you. ;)
I love contemporay romance with some mystery thrown in. I'm always looking for a good historical romance but it is harder and harder for me to really find a good one. Really any book that you loved and want to recommend would be great. Thanks.
Mary,I know that you began this thread wanting to find newbie authors, but I just read "Simply Love" by Mary Balogh, a regency romance, and enjoyed it. The other good thing about it is that it's part of a series, so the other books contain characters you've already met. I'll warn you that the story starts with the most atrocious run-on sentence I've ever seen in a published novel, but it's a page-turner once you get going.Simply Love
Okay, now that I'm at a computer, I fixed my post about Lena's books and I can add a new one.Valerie Bowman writes regencies. I've read only the first one of her Secret Brides series but really enjoyed it. I think her first one came out in 2013. (And I know her, too, but still - don't let that stop you.)
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, keep them coming. I love Mary Balogh. I hope everyone has read some of hers, she is well worth the time. I will look into Valerie Bowman, regencies are a favorite of mine.
Mary, I really enjoyed C.P. Smith's Reason series ~
. I also enjoyed Victoria Paige's Always series ~
. And if you like paranormal romance with a touch of humor, try C.C. Wood's Bitten series -
Karen White is one of my favorite authors. I loved the Beach Trees and pretty much all of her novels. There's always a love story, a little history and mystery. I also just started reading Lauren Layne's books. Some of my go to contemporary romance authors are Bella Andre, Marie Force (Fatal series), Susan Mallery, Kristan Higgins, and Jill Shalvis.
Claudia Connor has just published her second novel. Her first is terrific and I'm holding her second for a nice long weekend read.Worth the Risk

Jesse Hayworth (quirky romantic western romances, Mustang Ridge series, set in fictional Three Ridges, Wyoming)Jesse Hayworth
New release:
I think Eliza Knight may be a good fit for you, she's been on the scene about five years now, but that might still be new to you ;) she writes pretty amazing historical romance.
I would highly recommend
It was a brilliant first romance novel
