Likin' the Spiritual, but NOT the Religious? discussion

This just might be the most intriguing idea in the book: That Sabbath practice creates an incredibly inclusive intentional community. If we are defined by Sabbath, we are not only resisting the cultural expectation of 'productivity' but also turning your allegiance away from race, creed or family of origin. What do you think of this idea? Wild, huh?

yea it is probably the most insightful of Uncle Walt's chapters ... something that you wouldn't think of as apart of Sabbath but it is true. Practicing Sabbath sets us apart, it is an affirmation of family and making a statement that you are not going to be McDonaldized into a generic person ...

Exactly, Darrin. Sabbath practices raise our level of humanity and resist the powers that would make us generic automatons.
