Justin (justineaton) | 1099 comments I know there are some ania ahlborn fans here, anyone know anything about these three pre orders for next year? Looks like one is a short and the other two are novels.

Justin (justineaton) | 1099 comments In a quick search I learned that she signed a 3 novel and two novella book deal. Kind of nice that we will see two novels and one of the novellas in 2015.

11811 (Eleven) (11811) | 1561 comments I wasn't aware of the Simon Shuster deal. Good for her.

Bill (shiftyj1) | 4892 comments Cool. I wasn't aware of the deal either. I have been a fan of hers since she did the HA guest author group read of Seed a few years ago.

I remember that. Great book and a very cool person.

Marie | 4074 comments Reviving this thread as Ahlborn has quite a few books that came out since this thread was started. :)

I thought this book was good: The Shuddering and I enjoyed this book too: I Call Upon Thee

I had read Seed years ago and liked that one as well. I want to read her books: The Devil Crept In, Within These Walls, and Brother

She has so many, I've enjoyed the few I read and one was a clunker but still clever. Need to read more of her for sure!

What was the "clunker"? I might need to avoid it. lol

LTJ (ltj81) | 2034 comments Her writing style is EXCELLENT as my favorite book of hers is "Seed" as I thought it was so damn good. I remember giving it a 4/5 :-)

Luvtoread (Trying to catch up) | 1944 comments "Seed" is my favorite book by A. A. so far. 5 stars from me. The storytelling was so good. One of the rare horror books that I've not forgotten since it left such an impression. Definitely Recommend!!

Pisces51 I really like Ahlborn. If I remember she self published SEED and then her work began to speak for itself. I own several of her books. I did not like SEED. Her sophomore book NEIGHBORS was really good. But her breakout novel Brother is sensational. I have Within These Walls coming up to read next month. It was lauded as a moving emotional read. I definitely consider myself a fan.

Pisces51 I should have added about SEED that it was a crisp, propulsive read and very creepily written. My criticism was central to unanswered questions as to the why? his family tree. The a Neal

Pisces51 No way to edit? My cat jumped on me. Anyway I was unhappy with the dog's fate in SEED in addition to unanswered questions. I was in the minority with SEED but realized Ahlborn was special.

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 3051 comments So last week I found out that I've had dyslexia when it comes to reading and pronouncing her name. I've thought it was Ahlhorn not Ahlborn...thanks to a book reviewer on TikTok I have since been corrected.
