Did you know that James Arness (Matt Dillon) from the TV show GUNSMOKE, played the monster in the classic film THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD 1951? Great movie for its time.
I have twoThe color red is present in almost every shot of The Shining.
In Psycho, it was the first time a toilet was seen being flushed onscreen.
THE EXORCIST
On the first day of filming the exorcism sequence, Linda Blair's delivery of her foul-mouthed dialogue so disturbed the gentlemanly Max von Sydow that he actually forgot his lines.

Did you know there are over 100 books listed on Goodreads, with Scaredy Cat as the title or part of the title?

Nope. I didn't know that.

Wow really? My sister was being really nice to my parents ( which is very odd since she's not a nice person at all!) When my Mom finished telling me what nice thing she did, I asked: "What's up with her?" we both looked at each other and echoed "Body Snatchers!" We laughed so hard, it was great!
Did you know that Poltergeist's production Crew used Real Human Skeletons Because They Were Cheap?

Really? She played an excellent roll as Ann Darrow in King Kong

Robert wrote: "Jack Nicholson wanted Jessica Lange (American Horror Story) to play Wendy's role in THE SHINING."Anyone would have been better than ... Crap I forgot her name. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard!
Didn't like the original version of 'THE SHINING'. Liked the remake that come out a few yrs ago better. Seemed more like the book than the original. Although Jack Nickolson was the perfect choice to play Jack Torrence.
I can't wait to see them make Dr. Sleep, the sequel to The Shinning into a movie! I'm dying to see how they portray the book for that one!

I LOVE Horror Trivia! Like the little girl from Poltergeist getting hurt making that movie. Anybody know any other horror trivia?
Heather O'Rourke, the little girl from Poltergeist played on HAPPY DAYS during the last 1 or 2 seasons
Did you know that in the decapitation of Pamela Voorhees at the end of Friday the 13th, the hands you see reaching up after the head flew off was one of the special effects guys instead of the actress, Betsy Palmer. If you look, you can see that the hands are a man's and has hairy knuckles.
The real life Lorraine Warren makes a cameo in The Conjuring as an audience member while the character Lorraine Warren is speaking.
Robert wrote: "The girl that played the older sister was murdered in real life after the filming."And the little girl who played Carol Anne passed away. Both of the girls were buried in the same cemetery.
And before we move away from Poltergeist...This is quoted from IMDB trivia, so not my words. About Zelda Rubinstein, the woman who came to "clean" the house.
During the filming of Poltergeist III (1988), she was doing a photo shoot when she paused and lurched. Director Gary Sherman was present and asked her what was wrong, she responded with a comment like "I don't know, was just a jolt. I'm fine." Several minutes later Sherman was pulled aside and told they would have to let Rubenstein go from the film - her mother had just died. After developing the film from the photo shoot, it was discovered that every photo had come out fine, except one, which had an inexplicable cloud of light clouding into the photo from Rubenstein's left, covering half of her with a semi-transparent haze. Rubenstein said she knew the jolt had to have been her mother's passing
she said they always had a particularly strong bond, in a way some identical twins have. Sherman, who had witnessed it, agrees it could not have been anything else. Both Rubenstein and Sherman were already very well aware of the tragic events which had plagued the film series.
In Evil Dead II, you can see Freddy Krueger’s glove from Nightmare on Elm Street. It’s hanging above the door in the tool shed.
I'm going to have to watch these movies again so I can see it. I heard there were a few bizarre things surrounding Poltergeist, but I didn't know some of them. This is good stuff!
Well the Three Men and A Baby movie with Tom Selleck and Ted Danson has the "ghost boy" standing within curtains in one of the scenes. Yet the film makers debunked it saying it was a cutout of Ted Danson from some advertisement he had been in. My opinion, I don't know....it doesn't look like Ted. I own the movie and it does look like a little boy standing in the curtains. Could it be ghost? A lot of people say it is a ghost.
