Interesting book, Faith :) Don’t worry about it, I think it can’t be done on the app. On the desktop, it should say ‘add book/author’ in green at the top middle of the comment box. But as I say, don’t worry, it’s quite an unique title anyways!

My nomination is The Unmaking of Ellie Rook by Sandra Ireland
Two great nominations so far, keep them coming!

I'll try and think of something today.

The Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd.
For me, the best nature-cum-memoir ever written, and so timely to revisit nowadays.

James Clerk Maxwell was a Scottish scientist who lived in the 18th century. His work revolutionized physics -- though it took years before the importance of his work was fully realized. In addition to his scientific significance, Maxwell was an interesting and admirable character.

I always over indulge in Christmas books as this time of year so I though I would throw this in to mix as its set in the highlands.

Ellen, I don't see Tracy's recommendation on the poll....?

Oh my goodness, well spotted!
I'm so sorry Tracy :(
It's been added now and anyone should be able to change their votes. Sorry again x

The theme, as last year, is Wild Card. That means any genre, any style, anything you fancy so long as there’s a Scottish link somewhere!
I’m open to all sorts of ideas, you can even nominate something really different (like a graphic novel) if you fancy. Or if you spotted a book you think the group will just love, then go ahead and nominate it...
Comment your nomination below - really, really looking forward to seeing what pops up!
Notes: Please only one nomination per person for this theme. If you can, use the 'add book/author' button to link the book and author to avoid confusion. Nominations must have a Scottish link.
